Too quick weight gain

So about maybe month and a half i started out to workout very seriously,as some of you know i log almost every workout.My starting weight was around 61kg and now this morning i weigh 64kg,which is 3 kilos or around 6,7lbs.So for month and a half that is a lot of weight,since you can only gain about 2lbs per month of muscle tissue.Height is like i said somewhat around 6ft/5’11.Keeping all in my mind am i going to fast on the weight gain?Should i cut my calories a bit?My lifts are improving also quite a lot.Also worth mentioning is i never trained legs,and now since i started bombarding the legs with volume and weight they have grown a lot and my family and friends comment also on that.At the end of it i know i will gain fat,not worried about it but not to be like above 25% bf.

Most of that was water.

Water like glycogen or water like extra carbs that body doesnt need and stores them as an underskin water?If thats so should i reduce carbs?
