I have been on TRT for three years now, 100 mg a week but I was doing around 160 mg for the last year. My total test number was at 867. Around five weeks ago I went in for my yearly check up. My blood work came back and all of my numbers were the best they have ever been except for my hemoglobin, and it was 19.1.
My Doc was worried that I was going to have a stroke so he told me to stop injecting and come back in three months to have a another blood test. Four weeks later I had a blood test done and my test was down to 130, and its the worst I have ever felt in my life. I could not think straight, I had NO energy, I did not want to have sex with the wife, and a headache from hell for weeks.
I called my Doc and told him my symptoms, and he made me a app with a hemotologist. I went in and his office was in a cancer research center. I was there for two and half hours and I NEVER want to go there again. If you want motovation, that will make you want to go work out and run your ass off when you get home.
My hemoglobin came back normal, 17.1 and he told me that I could start back injecting but I need to cut back on my dose, he also said that he didn’t think that that was stroke range but he would like to see me back in a few months.
I guess what I trying to say is more is not always better. I guess its like any drug, we want to feel the way we did for the first month and we start doing more and more. keep a check on your numbers, because you do NOT want to stop injecting. I hope and prey that if we use the right dose test will keep us younger, stronger, and live a long and productive life.
