Very serious unfortunately. The only way it stays funny is because of the relative anonymity offered by the forum. You wonder how far some of those nuts would be willing to go if they knew where to find you. In 99.9% of the cases, it’s probably all talk; but you don’t want your family to have to deal with crazy shit just because you told someone on the internet that you think he believes in fairy tales.

This is why organized religion is bad. No one cares if you live a “good”, “moral” life if you’re not living the “good”, “moral” life they think you should be living. By and large I think most religions maintain a savior faire attitude towards others but the evangelicals really frighten me.

I agree, sort of.
I don’t think organized religion is bad on its face, but I don’t see the need for nationwide, or even global, “churches”. It’s obvious that “churches” of this size breed power and corruption.
But I’ve seen smaller, regional churches do an awful lot of good things for their communities, yet aren’t large enough to attract much corruption.
Regardless of what I think about lixy, this is just an example of why it’s less fun to post here as a liberal than it used to: there used to be more intelligent conservative posters, too.
Standards are ever decreasing on both sides. Primitive bullies are what they are - whatever party line they follow.
