For what it’s worth, though, my dictionary (Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate) also defines “imbibe” as “to drink”, not as “to ingest”. Do you have such support, L&F, for your claim that one can imbibe things other than liquids, or are you just talking out of your ass because of an infantile need to feel superior to others? Whatever the case, I do have to admit that your post in the Monkeyboy Birthday thread made me laugh.
