I asked my endocrinologist for an AI, and he prescribed 2.5mg of Letrozole (Femara) per day.
It seems like most people here only take 1mg of Arimidex PER WEEK.
I understand that Arimidex and Letrozole are two completely different drugs, but at the same time I don’t want to kill my estrogen production. Does 2.5mg per day of Letrozole (Femara) sound right?
He has probably prescribed an estrogen killing dose for treating estrogen positive breast cancers.
You would be better off with Arimidex/anastrozole. Reason is that some hyper-respond to small amounts of letrozole and dose-response is not very predictable. Start with small doses. If you find the right dose, it may work well. Read this:
