Nice depth. On the 180 lb reps, it does look like your hip rise before the bar starting with the 2nd rep… weak abs, maybe?

I think what you’re seeing is my pelvis righting itself: when I drop below parallel, my back gets a little rounded because my hamstrings are tight. I’m guessing when I start to drive up, my pelvis has to get oriented correctly so that my back can go into extension before the bar will start moving.
Just another lovely side effect of being almost totally inactive for 19 years.
Then again, I could be wrong.

Albert Hofmann died yesterday, at 102 years old.
Rest in peace.
Also, Hans Reiser is going to jail. I’m not sure how I feel about this. He may have killed his wife, but he sure can code a damn good filesystem. Maybe he’ll keep working in the pen.
I took some videos of squats today. I’ll post them and write up my workout… sometime soon.
I meant to post a link to this video:
(Squat RX)
Check out the whole series, I guess.

Holy shit, he is?! Insanity. I remember reading about that case a while ago.
It’s hard to imagine such an intelligent, educated person is a murderer.
Yeah, he’s getting 25-life. It’s not clear that he actually killed her, but he did act pretty weird after her death. Who knows.
5-1
Workout B
Squat: 5x5@155
OHP: 5/5/4/4/4@80
DL: 1x5@195
Chins: 6/6/5
No grip work, ran out of time.
Squats still didn’t feel right, but they’re definitely getting better, my back felt much less worked.
I’m so burnt out after finals, and I feel like I’ve been on the phone all day dealing with apartment shit, work shit, …
I kinda want to take this weekend off and do my next A workout on Tuesday. Maybe I’ll just go in and work on my squat form with light weight. Any thoughts?
Squat videos will be up shortly.
