330 x 10 rep PR maybe
Whoa. My gym has new trap bars, Rogue high/low handles, and they feel light. So light, in fact, that I questioned whether they weigh 45 lbs. According to Rogue’s website though, they actually weigh 60, which means my last few deadlift workouts were 15 pounds heavier than I thought. And, LIFETIME PR!!! Yeah, a trap bar DL is easier than with a straight bar, but this blew away anything I’ve trap bar DLed before! I’m pumped. Emotionally AND in my lower back

First time using one of these contraptions, and it felt pretty ok.

These always suck, but they’re also super helpful.

Fin. It’s been a heckuva couple weeks. Last week, I was in the ER with my mom all Sunday night til nearly noon on Monday. We’ve no idea what caused it, but she was so weak, nauseated, and intermittently burning up then freezing that she didn’t have the strength to walk or speak for three days. All she could ingest without uncontrollable vomiting was a few sips of a smoothie, which I bought for her in the morning before work then on my way home after.
She tested negative for Covid and didn’t have a fever, so none of it makes sense. Thank God, she recovered after a week and is now doing mostly better. For me, work’s been super hectic so, between it and caring for my mom, the gym’s not been an option. Tonight was a happy return, indeed!
Thanks for both, Chick! Apparently I should take three weeks off deadlifting more often
Oh yeah, I just remembered, I dreamt about you a couple weeks ago! Yeah, it was totally unexpected. I think I’d been reading the T-ransformation thread before I fell asleep. If memory serves, you and I were in a fast-paced diner in a mall or something, getting lunch during a break at a conference.
Today was low energy, physically and emotionally, so a low-volume squatting workout was right up my alley. 45 and hitting lifetime PRs, including an age PR, as @QuadQueen pointed out
