TnT's Forward Momentum!

Dad gum! If it weren’t for bad luck…

I love the diagnosis. it’s almost like they didn’t go to school for years to help people.

Oh crap, hope you feel better soon. You got to love Dr. Maybe some Advil or other otc meds to help for now.

Ugh! Getting old is a b!tch! If it makes you feel any better, I hurt my low back, hip this week while I was…

…wait for it

driving to work. Thankfully, it was like a 2-day hurt with no ER trips but, getting old = over rated.

Sending you so many healing prayers and a great BIG hug!!

Thank you, everyone, for your commiseration and well wishes! With the help of muscle relaxers, antiinflammatories, and time, the spasm has relaxed. After an upcoming MRI, I’ll work with my doctor on how best to manage or fix the situation. Until then, dog-walking and some recumbent bike-riding will be my primary forms of exercising.

Spin exercycle - 5:00

Reverse lunges - bw x 2 x 10/leg
Walking lunges - bw x 2 x 10/leg
Hanging leg raises - bw x 3 x 10
Seated calf presses - 170 x 3 x 15
Leg extensions - 130 x 12, 140 x 2 x 10

Spin exercycle - 35:00

So, surgery isn’t indicated for my back, but I have to stop all exercises that compress the spine for now. The doctor specifically said to halt squatting and deadlifting, but until I start physical therapy, I’m extending the hiatus to overhead presses, bent-over rows, and hack squat machines.I’m redirecting exercising to joint health and integrity, muscular development, and cardiovascular endurance.

I wish you to find a good physio, who will be able to help you fix yourself.

Thank you, I appreciate it! It’ll take time, but I prefer to recuperate correctly instead of rushing the process and making things worse.
