Comments: Not too bad. Got the heart beating.

Looks like the Panthers traded away CMC last night for some draft picks starting in the second round. A lot of Panthers fans think we got hosed, but a lot of 49ers fans think they got hosed. I guess the bottom line is that he was injury prone. Barely played the last two seasons, so to get 4 draft picks for that may have been a decent deal. Every week that he plays could easily be his last of the season. The rumor is that he wanted out, and who wouldn’t? This team is a laughing stock. Now everyone thinks they may just clean house and trade DJ Moore and possibly others. While that frees up lots of cap space, the plan, surely, is to tank the rest of the season and draft a star QB or RB. Still, for the players who remain on the team, that’s gotta be hard to come back from mentally. Just getting destroyed every week. Oh well. Looks like my Sundays just freed up for a few months…

I think you guys won that trade. You needed picks after giving up your first rounder for a QB. It doesn’t hurt that CMC has stayed hurt either. He is a hell of a player when healthy but he hasn’t been healthy for a full season in a long time.

Having draft picks should help your coaching search as well.

Nice metcon today!

Honestly, I was saying they should trade him early last season. I felt like he was just going to keep getting hurt. Rivera played the hell out of that poor guy. It was like, every play of the game he got the ball. You can’t get that many touches and expect to last long. Especially if you’re a running back. So they made the right choice on a business level. I would put money on him sitting out at least a few games in the remainder of the season. Draft picks are good, but it would have been nice to have a first rounder. I think they traded a fifth round pick for Baker so we still have our first rounder for next year. If the season ended today I think we would pick first. LOL A few people have talked about Sean Payton coming to Carolina. That would be pretty crazy IMO. I never liked him that much. Not saying he was a bad coach but he always seemed kind of shady to me. I guess the only good part is that there is only one direction to go from here… :joy: :joy: :joy:

I must have been confused I thought y’all gave up first rounder for the other QB. That good you guys have that. It’s San Francisco that doesn’t have any pics this draft. LoL.

Sean Payton is the new hot name coach like Gruden was a couple years back. He’s been on a lot of radars lately.

Nice session at the gym today. Looks like a fun workout. Never heard of the Arsenal squat.

Thanks Shane. Yeah, thank God we didn’t give up a first rounder for Baker. I hadn’t heard of Arsenal either but it is similar to HS equipment. Some of their stuff is downright confusing to me. Ha ha…

Comments: Fatness is spreading… Need to tighten up on the diet. I was doing pretty good yesterday until we went out for our anniversary. Instead of the fish tacos I opted for the cheeseburger and fries. Then my wife broke out some jumbo cupcakes for desert…

Session: Definitely starting to see how I get a better workout in the gym. Not from a conditioning aspect, but from a weightlifting aspect. This is mainly accessory that I am talking about. I can get a good workout on the main strength lifts in the garage but it helps to have a boat load of well designed equipment for accessory work. The metcon was OK. I had to sub a lot of stuff so it lost some of its oomph. Still got the blood flowing some. Have a good day!

Happy Anniversary Trent! I would have gone with the cheeseburger and fries also!

Good to hear you are enjoying the gym. The toys at the gym definitely are nice for accessory work. It helps to keep it interesting also. Nice work put in today.

Solid pace on those stairs Trent. That is moving to knock out a 100 floors in 20 flat. Nice ride on the bike as well.

Thanks Shane. Not as solid as your pace on the bike. :joy:

Nice bro day! I use my notes on my iphone to log my workouts at the gym. Works well.

Thanks Shane. Yeah, I’ve done that before too, but today had my phone in the arm strap with wired ear buds going through my shirt (See 1990’s Audio Fitness Trends :joy:) so I couldn’t get to it to type notes. Might need to result to 1980’s methods and bring in a notebook and pen. :man_shrugging:

Just checking in. This a rest week from lifting for me. Normally, I would have logged some form of cardio at this point, but I have been surfing the last three days instead. Scored some pretty fun surf up at the north end, where it has been breaking much better than anywhere else at the beach. Good times… Planning to hit some actual cardio tomorrow and again Thursday and/or Friday.

Have fun surfing and enjoying the rest week!

Comments: Went to the gym and hit up the stationary bike. I have all of these risk assessment webinars that I have to complete for work (about 10 hours worth) and so I’m going to start doing them while on the bike. Pretty good use of that time. I did try to maintain a faster pace today and more or less stayed 17 mph or faster for about 30 minutes, then I finally slowed down but still stayed around 16 mph. Maybe one of these days I’ll be in Shane Armstrong’s rearview mirror. LOL :joy:

Nice cal dump Trent. That was a good ride you put in. Good idea to multitask while doing stationary cardio. That is definitely one thing it has going for it over the standard outdoor moving cardio. :joy:
