Comments: Good session after taking the last 4 days off. We had a good trip to Raleigh. We went to the Science Museum, State Capital building and Marbles Kids Museum. I was happy to get home and enjoy the Masters though. I was sort of pulling for Rose since he has finished runner up so many times, but was happy to see Rory win it again.

Started in the garage with a Peloton ride, then did Bench and accessory work. (IG video of that) Then went to the gym and did Leg Press, Rows and more accessory. Done.

Welcome back Trent. Glad to see you were able to get some time away.

Good workout today. You got it all in there today. Lots of work in the time you got it done in.

I was pulling for Rose as well, but agree, was cool to see Rory win and go back-to-back.

2.37 Miles, 14.2 MPH, 86 Kcal, 110 BPM

Comments: I wish people would stop burning stuff during this drought. I opened up the garage door this morning and the smoke was pretty thick outside. Probably should have closed the door again but just wanted to see some sunlight.

That was a damn good metcon. There were 6 rounds worth of Cindy stashed away in there too. One micro challenge was to see how many Air Squats you can get out of the gate after doing all of those walking lunges not long before. I was able to get 50. Finished with an agonizing 100 calories on the Echo Bike and then cooled down on the Peloton. Done.

That was a nutty metcon Trent. I was shaking my head reading it. Then to top off with a 100 calorie on the Echo bike. Hell of a day!

I hear you on the burning. I was driving home yesterday and there was someone burning in their backyard 2 neighborhoods over. We are currently in a burn ban. People don’t watch the news apparently. Those fires move quick when they get out of control.

Thanks Shane. The original version that I started with was easier and I kept adding stuff to it. :joy: Yeah, evidently the smoke that we were dealing with today was blowing right at us from a fire over 100 miles away. The wind was blowing just right so we got smoked out today. People really should heed those warnings…

Same here. We got some rain so they lifted the burn ban but it doesn’t seem to matter. They finally had to start fining people to get the point across. The warnings just weren’t working to deter the stupidity.

A ton of work done again today Trent. That workout in the garage would have been enough for me.

Crushing it as usual. :sunglasses:

Murph Prep

Complete 9 Total Rounds of the Following:
1.5 Mile Echo Bike
5 Rounds of Cindy

*Wear a 20 lb Vest

1:25:49, 1,190 Cals, 161 BPM

Cool Down:
1 Mile Echo Bike. 4:00

Comments: I haven’t had more than 6 hours of sleep the last 3 nights so I’m dragging ass today. Still got out there and put up the longest Murph metcon of my life (I had only previously done Double Murph before today). All together that was “Double Murph and a Quarter.” Below is a total of all of the work.

13.5 Miles Echo Bike
225 Pull-ups
450 Push-ups
675 Squats

Every week I am basically adding 5 rounds of Cindy and let me tell you, those 5 rounds are hell on Earth… That’s the name of the game when you’re training for something like this I guess. You have to earn it.

Dude. You blow me away at the nuttiness that has been this prep, and I mean nutty in the most respectful and amazed way.

That was a hell of a workout. Mind is definitely blown man. That would honestly probably put me in the hospital with rhabdo.

Thanks Shane! It feels good to get through those workouts… For no other reason than just getting it done. Hoping to avoid rhabdo. Have never knowingly had it. I think I might be light and skinny enough to hopefully avoid that. :grimacing: :crossed_fingers:

You are in good enough shape to not get it. I think most people who get it do CrossFit and go all out with no base. You have built a hell of a base. :flexed_biceps:

Thanks Shane. I hope all that madness pays some sort of dividends. :joy:
