Those presses are looking pretty good, from the numbers.

Yesterday’s Cals: 2,300/-400

Peloton
45-Minute Power Zone Endurance Ride – Ben Alldis
16.12 Miles, 21.5 MPH, 711 Kcal, 156 BPM

10 Minute Cool Down Ride – Hannah Frankson
2.63 Miles, 15.8 MPH, 152 Kcal, 151 BPM

Comments: That was the first ride where I could really feel the difference with the high heat and humidity. My heartrate was noticeably higher than usual for similar efforts. I finished with a 10-minute cool down ride and my HR barely dropped at all. LOL Oh well, I guess rides like these make the cooler weather rides seem easier.

Heck of a ride and cal dump Trent.

That cool down ride was pretty much close to just added time today. :joy:

Nice work man!

Thanks Shane. Yeah, I even slowed down to 15 mph toward the end and my HR never went below 140. LOL

Garage – Conditioning

Metcon – From OA Conditioning

For Time:
Bike (Miles): 2.5, 2.0, 1.5, 1.0
After each bike complete the following:

20 Bench Press, 115 lb
20 Ring Rows
20 Sit-ups
10 Burpees

38:00, 463 Cals, 142 BPM

Comments: I have to say that was a very good metcon. Very balanced and it was more difficult than it looked on paper. There was supposed to be a fifth round of 0.5 mile bike but I ran out of time. I would like to do that one again but go back up to 2.5 miles (so like an upside down pyramid). Figure that’s probably a solid 1.5 hour workout.

That looks like a half way fun metcon. Well, except the burpees. :joy:

Great job man!

Comments: Solid session for being pretty tired this morning. Started in the garage/sauna with a Peloton ride and pull-ups/accessory. Managed to get a PR for 7-8 rep max on pull-ups. Those last few reps were a struggle. Then changed shirts and went to the gym. Got some solid sets in there as well. I may have set some PR’s in there too but I don’t really keep track of the machines and random lifts (maybe I should?). Hit some notable sets on HS IL Row, Rack Supported DB Row and then finished with some HS IL Low Row supersetted with Pull-ups (which was hard). Done.

I feel like I’ve been fighting the flu and colds for the past two weeks. A bunch of our friends have been sick and now our kids have been in VBS all week and are sniffling and coughing. WTF? I thought summer was the healthy time of year?

Damn, that is some strong pull ups Trent. :face_with_steam_from_nose:

Nice PR there man! I thought that garage workout looked like it would be enough for the day but then you followed it up with a killer gym session.

Very impressive work put in today!

That is worthy of a tip of my Oakland A’s cap. Pull ups are the hardest exercise for me. I am awed.

Comments: Good session. I was watching the kids this morning during the Peloton rides so they were sitting in the garage playing Uno during my ride. Lol My wife got back a little later than expected so I jumped on that extra 10 ride and was happy to get a PR there. Went to the gym after that and put in some solid leg work. I did some extra drop sets with the hopes of really smoking my legs. Definitely felt it walking up the stairs at my office earlier. Ha ha….

Comments: Heck yeah… I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night and had no plans of going for a PR this morning. I finally caved in put the fan next to the bike this morning and that might have made the difference. Lol Alright, heading to Raleigh and back today to melt on a roof top. See y’all later.

Damn Trent. You keep this up they are going to put you in the Tour de France. Nice PR man! That’s damn impressive.

Thanks Shane. The Tour de France? Maybe they’ll throw me in there to make sure nobody else finishes last. :joy: Nah, I appreciate it. I’ve been leaving the Airdyne alone lately and just using the Peloton for metcons and the usual bike rides. The seat on the Airdyne is really far forward and I’ve noticed that since leaving it alone my foot pain seems to have resolved. I’m considering selling it and getting a Rogue Echo bike instead (one day when I can afford it at least…).
