You’ve opened up a LOT of opportunities with that slow cooker dude. I’m excited for you!
I RARELY ever give advice, but you owe it to yourself to make and eat an entire beef pot roast.

I second this. Slow cookers are amazing for making massive meals with cheap cuts of meat that you can just stick into the fridge and eat for days. It is probably one of the greatest things you can own for strength/weight gain.
Also, beef pot roasts are amazing IF you season it to your liking. Just don’t go too heavy on the salt.
Pot roast is definitely on my list of things to cook, I’m not really sure what else I’ll be trying to cook. I definitely have to research some recipes. I wonder if I could cook one of those young whole chickens in it, I bet I could.
Whole chicken in a slow cooker is easy. Just need to use the correct time setting.
In any theory protein works; just need the correct time.
You are KILLING college nutrition my dude. I was bringing home Chef Boyardee, Beef Jerky and Ramen.
I can finally try mahi mahi and bison. I’m excited dude.
I clutched my wallet looking at that pic, haha. Looks good though!
Don’t shy away from responsibility in life, if it’s needed (and there is plenty that is needed), but don’t take on so much that you can’t “live” life. My mind goes towards “money” when I hear people talk about what they take on as adults, which again, is needed, but not the most important thing in life. I knew a guy who worked killer hours to, in his mind, provide for his family, which was commendable of him, but when he died, his kids said they didn’t need the fancy house and expensive toys (he was working to succeed, not just to survive, which is a different situation), they just wished they would’ve been able to actually spend some time with him. Anyway, that’s just where my mind goes. People always say you’re not gonna die wishing you had spent more time at the office, so work hard, but remember to enjoy yourself once in a while as you get older.
this, but that is an epic haul!
Folks, think how much money college kids are blowing on booze and drugs. Tim’s got this figured out.
I can’t afford those either, haha.
He is doing a great job though. Some very real progress being made here that’s awesome to see.
Yeah!
There is a whole world of food that just opened up to you.
Darn I failed at 360 lbs x 12 again. I do believe the lack of sleep is hindering my performance and recovery. Was not able to fall asleep last night.
I don’t really know what to do tbh. Anyone ever deal with insomnia before? Please share any advice.
Just as transparency, haven’t really had any motivation to do anything other than the Squats this whole week. Don’t have an excuse for that, it’s my one week break off of school and I’m lazy but, I am determined to get those squats.
So here’s what I’ll do. I’ll go with 355 lbs next time and in the meantime do something about this sleep problem. Either Friday or Saturday will be my last day on the program.
My sleep is pretty poor. Are you home on your 1 week break? New environment could be playing a role. But these 10lb jumps are most likely showing themselves as well. The ambition is awesome, but the 5lbs was there for a reason. 355 is absolutely the right call.
Yes I am home, I came back on Sunday.
If not being able to FALL asleep is the issue, low dose melatonin 30min before bed helps a lot
I wouldn’t sweat it too much. If it persists after getting back to college, might be worth looking into.
Well that explains a lot, thanks anna.
Baked Mahi Mahi
Nothing fancy
It was seasoned perfectly though, (salt, pepper, rosemary, brushed in some lemon butter garlic sauce I made).
Made more sauce as well.
That looks yummy! I’ve actually never tried mahi mahi before despite being a huge seafood fan.
