Tips on Street Fighting?

It sounds like you are going to add injury to insult.

Getting fucked up sucks

Getting fucked up AND embarassed really sucks.

And don’t do any, “I’ll meet you in the park at 4”. That might give you too much time to think, and if you don’t go, your HS cred will be in the crapper. They will be writing stupid shit in your year book.

If your not a fighter you should only fight when provoked and angry.

The moment has passed and you should move on.

You should have said “you’re just jealous because I’m getting some and you aren’t” then walked away.

Fighting after school is for idiots. You are going to give a bigger older opponent all day to psyche himself up to kick your ass. If you were going to fight the time to do it was when he shot his mouth off. That way even if you lost you would have gotten respect.

At this point the best thing is to just let it go. If he tries to bring it up again ask him, what is your deal? Do you think I want to hear this? if he says no, say. So why are you telling me? Use verbal judo to put him on the spot. Maybe he’s hot for your girlfreind, or maybe he’s hot for you.
Yep. Absolutely. Why would you let someone like that get to you? He would only comment because he’s jealous or some such. Don’t let that kind of person rile you. They’re not worth their time.

Sifu’s advice is right on. Turn it around on him and then leave. Sure if it get’s physical it gets physical, but that will happen in the moment. Don’t premeditate it.

I’m with Horazio, all the way. If someone means to cause you harm, fine, green light on ripping him a new one. If you’re so out of touch with reality, however, that such a thoughtless, low-class remark flares you up like this, then you’re in for some hard times ahead.
I admit that I’ve only read this thread up until this point.

Obviously the kid has absolutely no idea what real violence/street fighting entails.

But I digress:

I “Third” Horazio’s remark that Mr. Clean & Jerk “seconded.”

He better learn to like prison.
I refrained from saying this in another post as it sounds like BS, but my nephew took some tough guys to a party where a guy who had always given him a hard time was when he was 17 or 18. My nephew is just not the confrontational type but had enough.

Long story long, one of the tough guys hospitalized the guys brother and my nephew got hit with conspiracy and other charges. The kids father was a lawyer and my nephew, with not even a ticket on his record, was sentenced to 364 day IN PRISON, in NJ. He had to drop out of college and went from HS football and lacrosse star to a criminal. He did a third and didn’t get screwed with.

It’s a different day and age.

Simplicity will win this one, first a quik refrence to BAS RUTTENS GUIDE TO LETHAL DEFENSE, or something like that, if this is high school i wouldnt recomend using dirty moves like eye gouging, or throat punching, if you life depended on it, shure, but its school and its for PRIDE, so learn to keep your hands up, protect your head, learn single leg drags, or if your a strong explosive guy, learn the big double leg slam, ala Quinton Jackson, but remember to keep you head close to his body.

then get the mount or side control and elbow and hammer fist to the nose and chin, stay tight and just dont stop hitting, practice on a dummy bag or something, and let everyone on this forum know how it went were all pulling for you bud, GIVE’ER!

Hey everyone, I’ve had one of those long weeks, and i cant get some bastards smart ass comment out of my head. He said “Your girlfriend is probably one of the easiest girls in the high school”.

Needless to say i’m just a little bit pissed off… well i told the guy to leave her alone or i will fight him… and now i guess he wants to fight me. He is a year older than me, and i guess i dont really know whether or not im gunna win this one, ive only fought once and that was in a locker room… anyone got any tips or suggestions on fighting techniques?
My two cents for what its worth is to grab his hair… Its the easiest way to control his head and if you control his head then you will control the fight… If he does bring heaps of friends either walk away or grab his hair and make him vulnerable, put him and his friends in the position that they wont hurt you because it will hurt him… Be fast and also surprise him because that will give you the aggression you need (well it will appear very aggressive).

If the shit really hits the fan just keep hitting who ever is coming at you first. A group cant fight as well as one-on-one they don’t have the co-ordination and will try and do their own this… Remember everything is legal and you do what you need to do to win… I remember when I was in school I always got picked on until I really beat up this one guy good, then everyone left me alone.

Just come out of it all right ok.

Control the head and if you get a chance break a bone, that usually stops a fight, legally he is older than you so if you do end up getting in legal troubles don’t say a word until your lawyer gets there then make sure your lawyer tells the judge that you were scared that he was seriously going to hurt you. even if you weren’t scared

What happens when he gets tired after breaking the first insulter’s neck, and fucking up two of his friends, and the two biggest guys are left?

Let me guess, grab grab #4 by the hair and-------

And I thought they only did that in the movies.

Never said anything about breaking Necks… Besides grabing hair to control the head is a basic move that we used when I was working at Baxter IDF (employed by ACM contracted to Australian Immigration)… The main thing is that you need to look like you can control the situation quickly it does give a psychological edge, if they are high school kids then the over whelming psychological aspect is going to help… Besides if your going to go down its better to go down swinging…

Just read that I said your grabbing the hair to control the head, were not pulling the hair like some bitch, if he is bald pull and direct the head… The body follows the head… Thats why when you deadlift you wont look down you will look up.

Its too bad that Americans are pissy about fights (and everything for that matter), what happened to the good old days, when men were men?

Is Sifu the only one here with any common sense?..
Son, if you are not prepared to be maimed, die, go to prison, or kill…Don’t fight. The only exception is clear and justifiable self-defense under the “reasonable person” standard, i.e. any reasonable person would agree with the actions you took to survive: period.

Unless someone’s life is at stake don’t fight. If he attacks you in the hall then defend yourself but seeking out a fight is asking for a lawsuit

if this kid called your HIGH SCHOOL girlfriend one of the easiest girls in the entire school and you got offended by it, then he is probably right. I would step outside the box for a second and analyze the situation; if he said this and you got mad, then he is probably right, and you know this.

Also, on a side note, if you have to go on a forum to ask for street fighting tips, I would avoid this fight all together, because chances are you look like a bitch, you can’t fight, and you’re gonna get stomped.

So let’s recap:

 1. The guy is probably right
 2. You look like a bitch and can’t fight
 3. Grow up

Ok so I said broken neck and you said break a bone. Sorry for the elaboration.

I didn’t mean to insult, I just thought you were giving this kid to much credit. Christ, he’s had one fight in his life and you want him to pull some Bruce Lee moves.

In the first paragraph you mention “heaps of friends” and what he should do to fight them. And in the second you say, “If the shit really hits the fan”. WTF. My guess is the shit hit the fan the second this kid gets a punch thrown at him. LOL.

Other than that I think it is sound advice for defending yourself in jail and not HS. JMHO.

Having had my ass kicked enough, I’m aware of the “grabbing the hair” concept and wear mine accordingly.

And there is nobody that respects Baxter IDF more than me and I feel most pissy Yanks feel the same way.

Out of curiosity, why did this have to become a bash at the USA? Do you really think any country corners the market of tough guys?

And they have a tendency to lock up a lot of those “when men were men” guys.
