Just throwing this out but have your tried DC? Not sure your goal but you can customize that program to gain or lose weight, it’s fun and always changes but the best thing is you’re in and out in no more than an hour if you do it right. Warm up, hit one big set move to the next exercise and you only lift 3 days a week unless you’re a super human geared up beast then you can run 4 but 3 days will kick your butt.

Korte is brutal but effective. I made good gains on my deadlift about 10 years ago on it. I did overhead press instead of benching ( I hate/ed benching).

From following your log, I think you should go for the 315 FS, and the 500 pull, and do whatever program to get it. My .02 is forget bench because your neck health is more important. Maybe go for BW overhead, or something showy like Matty-sized gunz. Set a time limit for time spent in the gym, do whatever for accessories, then leave.
If your abs be showing, who cares what you weigh?

I will just answer some general stuffs
in no order
I got on a scale like 5 times a day for wrestling and Judo
for like 10 or more solid years ( more like 20 :)))
so moving up in weight- and scales and food provide difficulties ![]()
for years I competed at like 56 kg or 125 or so lbs
so being more normal sized even though Im still a midget is strange
yes I have abs- when I wake up- and they kind of protude
yes I have a higher level of body fat then I like as the scale creeps up
but Im finding with a bit more fat then I typically like- I lift and recover better
I think I need more volume and conditioning - and then I would not care what I weigh
as long as body comp lifts and feeling flexible/agile doesn’t change
I take too much time in the gym -
its winter- I get there cold
spend a good amount on mobility and warm up
I tend not to rest much between sets- except on heavier deads
I was thinking of the volume approach on just the very basic lifts
might help to get me much stronger in those lifts
and beter technique
but might be a joint disaster too.
DC seems so bro-science and complicated
dan john has a 40 day plan where for 40 days you basically
do the same workout - 3x5 of 3 or 4 exercises
and just concentrate on those.
there was a hypetrophy article here like a q&A with pendlay
and that is kind of what I am doing now-
sticking with heavy ish - triples and 5’s for decent volume
seems to be working but its hard on the joints.
The only way I made my shoulder/elbow pain go away was to stop doing the things that made them hurt.

gave me a few coaching tips and sumos felt better
how to keep my arms straight and to set up in a way to pull more vertical-

and I realized I pulled 465- 2x where I dont think I can pull that conventional.

I will say, the last time I did that sort of stuff I did a few of those combo workouts, hang cleans ss. with pullups, etc. That leaned me out right quick! I had started that as part of a hypertrophy phase of a 3 month cycle, which WOULD’VE ended with soccer starting…maybe you just need a clear cut goal, you know? I know for me, I can’t start a program if I don’t know what the end goal of the program will be…
