Timing PCT for Test Cyp + EQ Cycle?

Running a moderate cutting cycle. Test Cyp- 400mg/week + EQ- 450/week. Original plan was to run it 12 weeks. I’ve read a lot about EQ needing A LOT more clearance time before starting PCT, but I can’t get anything solid on this, guidelines wise. This is my main and only concern.
What I gather from hours of scrolling, is the best option is to drop the EQ a week or two before the Test and then follow the normal 2 week wait after my last Test pin. I’d rather drop the EQ at week 10, and continue Test to week 12, rather than extend the cycle to 14-16 weeks. Any suggestions, user reports, remarks? Anything’s appreciated. Thanks.

From what I’ve read/watched recently one should wait 5 half-lives before starting PCT to ensure optimum compound clearance. For Test C this would be 5 x 8 = 40 days. For EQ it would be 5 x 14 = 70 days.

I love EQ, but I wouldn’t cycle with it. I feel that it lends itself better to blast and cruise.

That’s what true clearance is but at 4 half lives you only have ~6% of the drug left which for all intents and purposes seems low enough to me. EQ and PCT don’t mix as @Veteq said. I would follow that advice.

This myth should die out as fast as it came. PCT drugs work as long as testosterone levels are below or at low physiological levels (meaning the T level where you would get TRT prescribed). You don’t have to wait until total clearance but until T levels are at low physiological levels.

So to not waste PCT drugs and start too soon causing you to not finish your PCT because you are out of pills a mini pre- PCT blood test should be done to know when to start. I wonder if there is a free T number one should shoot for? Like just below the naddy free T range.

The problem with this is that eq will also mess with the hpta, and not show up on free t bloods. Good strategy for a test cycle though.

Im not an expert of cycling as i just dont understand the reasoning behind using drugs to achieve something and then quiting while using different drugs to come off other drugs, while also losing 80% of your gains, just to come back on after a while anyways but since you are cutting i think your problem would be solved by using test a while longer, maybe dropping the dose.
I believe that going on a PCT after a cut is a disaster as your body is in a deficit and very fragile, and then just going off the only thing that keeps it together, is just a fast way to lose all the gains, get depressed and eat some junk food and gaining all the fat back at as faster rate.
So you could keep the test after you are done with EQ for a while, then maybe go on TRT dose for a while and going up to maintenance calories, and then after a while when your body is used to maintenance and some test, you can try to PCT.

EDIT - you could also just go on a healthy dose of HGH after that, i have heard that its the best way to keep all the gains while going off AAS.

Unless you’re at a serious level of muscularity there is zero reason to run this cycle in order to cut. Steroids are for building muscle. You can cut on zero EQ and half that amount of testosterone. And 12 weeks of EQ is generally not worth the trouble it incurs.

Yea my first Test Cyp cycle a few years ago, recovery was a breeze after waiting the common two weeks. Maybe it’s a little too soon, but I feel like if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. I’m sure the HCG I ran during cycle helped me recover as well.

Thanks. I’m really seeing your point here. The one thing I wonder about, is 40 days for test to clear. I feel like that’s a really long time to wait for PCT. Just about the only thing I can find that pretty much everyone agrees on, is the 2 weeks after last injection for Test C or E, more or less. Personally I had a great response to sticking to that protocol on my first Test Cyp 500 mg/week run, a few years back. I was using HCG during that entire cycle as well.

I’m only on my third pin today, so the way I see it, Is I have three options. 1. Drop the EQ and continue as planned without it. 2. Run the EQ until week 5, then drop it, and by the time I start PCT, I’d have 9 weeks off EQ. 3. Extend cycle. The same as second option, but just add 4 weeks.

Most sites/forums advise to run and stop them together, which is unreal given your information! Fortunately I caught this before it was too late, so I have options, and plenty of time to get my ducks in a row. I can always go with another compound too. I’m just looking for a cosmetic recomp. I work heavy manual labor, so it’s extremely difficult, if not impossible for me to work and go to the gym regularly without over training. Not trying to bend the bar or get massive. Anyway, I appreciate your input. Thanks again.

So I work 10 months a year. From now until October, the season is ridiculous physically, for me at least. Last year, I lost a shit ton of weight and muscle mass during this season. I was probably the healthiest I’d been, but I looked like shit. My diet was great, and so was my lifestyle. Just doing 10 hours a day of cardio doesn’t make you look great. It’s impossible for me to keep up at the gym even 3 times a week during these months, NATURALLY. So that’s why I’m running the cycle. I live in NY. The gyms closing and the BS rules didn’t help me either. So add all that together and you have my reasons.

It’s funny, I almost forgot what got EQ in my head in the first place. A friend who had similar tendon/joint issues swore by it. So I always wanted to try it, but it doesn’t seem worth all the extra bs.

I mean last time I cycled, I kept most of what I had for a while. What I lost was due to my routine going to shit a year later. I know what you mean about crashing. I eat super clean (pescatarian diet) and rarely drink, so I have no concerns about indirectly screwing myself if mental sides become on issue. I just do not eat shit food haha. I’m not saying I haven’t, but just not for a loooong time.

But yea, I think the Test after the EQ is the way to go. I’d rather wait until I’m older, if ever, to go down the other routes you’re mentioning. One way or the other, I’ll update how everything goes in the end. Thanks man.
