DB, what is that exercise called that your avatar is doing? And what does it work? Could you superset that with the ass pullup?[/quote]
I’m guessing that is a tallywhacker lengthening exercise. Vaseline optional if you’re tough.

No matter what else I have or will accomplish in life, my place in history is now assured. Wilkpedia will someday have “inventor of the ass pullup” next to my name. Thanks guys.

edit: Never mind - they edited it out. But it WAS there.

It’s called a Turkish Testicle Grind, or alternatively, the Bulgarian Pubic Ripper. It’s more of a prehab exercise to increase blood flow to the genitals. While the ass pullup can be supersetted with any movement, I don’t think this one would be an optimal fit since TTGs should be done at a very fast tempo, while the AP is more of a duration type exercise. I would think the difference in tempos might confuse the CNS and cause some sort of undesired pelvic malfunction.
Some day when I see a young lifter performing the ass pullup I’ll go over and say,‘I know the guy who invented that exercise.’
The yoga/stretching was a no go last night. We ended up going out for Mexican. I ate mine and 1/2 of my wifes and kids meals. When I got home I sat on the couch and watched the Soxs lose. Figured I was carbo loading.

You don’t want to be doing that exercise when you see the hot chick in spandex on the yes-no machine

You got those? All my gym has is moms pulling themselves back from the brink of “letting themselves go.” I have to go to the beach to find the other kind.
Not…that I DO that, being married and all…
“yes/no” machine. I love that. Even better, I knew what it meant.
Yes Mr. Scurrilous, I saw it. Revenge is a dish that tastes better cold. I lay in wait for the proper moment. Know fear for you have unleashed the internet warrior. My vengence will be the stuff of legends. My wrath…
Ok, well played.

I train at a university gym, enough said. I’m happily married as well but as I often say “It doesn’t matter where you get your appetite as long as you eat at home”

It gets even trickier when your wife is training right next to you.

It sure is nice to be gone a day and see nothing has changed!! Man I do love this forum!
Seems all I do these days is complain. My back is OK but my left knee is killing me. In a nut shell I have knee cap problems and shouldn’t use knee wraps. But I used them on saturday, now I’m paying for it. So no squats this week.
Tonight I want to do every thing else: stiff deads, bench, b.rows, military, curls. Nothing involving a bent knee. Sorry I’m such a pussy this week.
Eco, haven’t got back up in the weights enough on squats to wrap my knees. Back in the day I used a couple of ace bandages. Does wrapping help you that much on the weight?
It helped a lot. It took away my knee pain (tear drop muscle) that I get deep in the squat. But it caused excessive grinding under my knee cap that didnt hurt at the time but does now. For some reason pressure on my lower, inner quad helps me get deeper in the squat.
9/11/08
bench warm up, 315x5,3,2 225x5x5
stiff dead 315x5,315x5,405x3,405x3,315x5, 315x5
military 135x5,225x1,185x5,135x10
chin up BW 5 sets 3 reps
bent over row 225x5x5
curl 5 sets 3 reps
Kind of an unstructured workout. I rested very little between sets. Bench felt weak but the stiff dead felt strong. I may cop out and start doing a small bench workout on saturdays. I feel I may need to bench twice a week.
