So I just moved to Marlboro MA about a month ago and joined GOLDS GYM; great gym so far.
I was leaving my place at 5pm on sunday to train; but they also closed at 5pm, my bad I know. So it was late in the day and I had been eating all my training day carbs and didn’t want them to build up or go to waste…so I started making calls.
I even called a f8cking planet fitness; I know I know…that place; horrible. But thankfully (sorta) they (along with every other ‘gym’ aroud) closed between 5 and 6.
I finally got ahold of a friend that lived @ an appartment complex; and used their ‘fitness center’.
All they had to offer was a smith machine, and 50lb dumbells.
I did some smith machine benchpress, short-rest military press, zottoman curls and some lat-pull downs on #15 difficulty (no weight measurements…just 1-20)and some purple band pull apparts to round things up.
Not only was this place ill-equipped; but it was silent, dark and had a bad movie on TV.
Lucky for me I was so pissed off that I was motivated enough to bust through that all.
That sucks man, but it happens. I bet if you would have tried the first three exercises with two or three sets to failure with the 50 lb dumbbells your workout would have been pretty good…
probably be a good idea to get some iron cheap from tag sales… it is summer…there is millions of dollars worth of weight equipment on peoples lawns lmao

Just should have found a park and did 10 100 meter sprints with 3 minutes of rest between each. That would’ve burned up all those carbs.[/quote]
I was en-route to a nearby park with my exercise bands and running shoes when my friend called me back; I wanted to move iron so I did that.
I did find a good place for sprints; and a jungle gym that I can tie the bands off to do a good amount of stuff if there is ever a next time.
What kind of little girl gym closes at 5pm? Even the “I’m better than you” Athletic club in my town is open until 7pm on Sundays. I think my local Gold’s was regular hours on Sunday too.
All the more reason to lift at home. The gym is always open.
