ok so milk has a ton of carbs in it too…so milk is bad if you’re trying to limit carbs?

You’ve never read the label?

There labels on milk?

I just keep the udders in my mouth until I’m done. Nice and creamy.
I wish there were articles on this site that explained all of this in simple black & white language. most of the articles on nutrition here already assume you know all of this stuff.
Things are really simple, you just haven’t grasped onto it yet. You seem to be wanting to follow a low carb/keto diet. There are other ways to diet down, for example WITH carbs. They are both effective and the one you can handle the longest is probably your best bet. By reading the articles on this site, you would assume that eliminating carbs is the only way to go, not true. Enough of my rant.

This should help you out a little if you want to follow a low carb / ketogenic diet.

Food Sources:

-Proteins
Poultry, Pork, Beef, Eggs, Other meats, Fish, Protein powders
-Fats
Pork, Beef, Other fatty meats, Fatty fish, Eggs, Nuts & Nut Butters (in moderation), Oils (ex: Olive oil, Coconut Oil, Macadamian Nut Oil, Fish Oil ect…)
-Carbs
Green Fiberous Veggies, Some fruits (not fruit juices), you will also get trace amounts of carbs from your Nuts/Nut butters, eggs, and protein powders.

There you go. SIMPLE. Eat those foods, when ever you eat and add them up to reach your caloric goals.

If you’re aiming for Ketosis (or just looking to NOT go through hell while low carbing), up your fats high enough to make up for the caloric deficit you’ll be in because of the lack of carbs. It will take a few days or even just over a week to fully “fat adapt” and feel fine on a diet like this. If you’re unsure on where to start with your macros/calories try this: 1.5grams of protein per lbm & .5gram of fat per lbm. Thats what Dave Palumbo suggests and I use a similar ratio myself when I low carb.

Good luck.

No it’s actually quite simple. If you are very anal and strict, you are not allowed to count your PWO shake. BUT we all know that that meal is pretty much independant of anything else you eat that day.
Okay, NOW we all know that.

Seriously…I’ve been counting the carbs in my PWO shake (actually, I’ve also been having a 1/4 cup raisins pwo to bring the protein/carb ratio to 1:1). Vegita with the good news AGAIN!

If you wanna go low carb, eat green veggies, other veggies like tomatoes and peppers, and limit yourself to about 3 servings of fruit(not juice) per day.

If you wanna go keto, only get your carbs from green veggies and the trace carbs found in the other foods you eat.

Should be pretty simple.

I would seriously listen to the Gospel of Elusive, or ACTrain if he shows up.
