Did I say steroidz ?
P.S. Why did you change your avatar ?
not to put myself on some damn soap box, but I believe I have a better physique than the majority here…
I say this because I looked real similar to this kid a few when I was 17 which was a few years ago. So if he keeps it up he can be at my level in a few years…just as I look up to others and believe I can be at a guy like Prisoner’s level in a few years…then Wolfs a few more after that…
so shut the f*ck up and don’t diss on him…he is actually competing and is very competitive for a teen class. Those of you saying he needs more mass are ignorant. Yes to be a pro someday or compete in the mens class he does need more mass, but he is at the peak of his teen career and should ride it out.
good for him.

No offense Gerdy but that’s kind of the point. Where would you be if you hadn’t had to diet and cut down for 3 separate shows? Yes you gained a lot of valuable experience but you probably sacrificed a big chunk of mass in the process.
I just don’t see the point in even competing unless you know you are going to win. Like you said, the guy who won the excalibur was a complete competition noob, it was his first show. But he dominated everyone b/c he put in the years of gaining mass before he cut down for a show.
You have a good point but I honestly don’t give a fuck if I win a local show, that means nothing. I want to have enough mass to win a national show and then go from there.

I have to agree with this. I am this size because I spent the last several years with size/strength as my main goal. If I had been one of the guys who diet down to contest shape every couple of years, I would be much farther behind.
It makes little sense for someone that age to diet down like that unless they truly believe they have already amassed the majority of the size they think they can gain.
He is ripped but has very little muscle to appreciate. He is young and will need time to add mass, but yes he is ripped.

I agree and disagree.
for example I am now taking as much time off as I need and most likely will not compete again until I feel I have built a national level/pro caliber physique. But as a teen I think that if you choose to compete then, then you should try to be your best before you turn 20. Winning teen natls or something doesn’t have as much carryover as winning the USA when your older but it does have some bragging rights to it for sure. Jay Cutler for example…
So I guess that if you choose to compete as a teen compare yourself to other teen bodybuilders and this kid fits up there with the top of them. He is small compared to men but for a 17yr old in contest shape he has built a decent physique.
I also feel that some at this age can be in contest shape year round, almost in a bulking diet and still compete. Hell I do this to today. I don’t think I have sacrificed hardly any muscle through my dieting. It is just my genetics. The pic in my t-page that says when I was 16 was taken while I was trying to gain weight. I was gaining weight as well and keeping that condition.
So point it…if your doing the teen thing then shoot for your best by 19 then take as much time off as you need to come back and compete with the men. Also you may not have to sacrifice muscle at that age while you are competing.
my opinion anyways, but I do agree that as a man one should wait to compete until they are of the caliber they wish to compete at. If you want to be a pro, then don’t compete until you think you can compete for a pro card. If you want to be a fitness model then by all means compete at whatever your goal weight is.
But I want to make clear I agree with both of you guys on the whole waiting until you’ve built a big enough physiqe thing, just disagree with that for a competitive teen bber is all.

Good point’s DG
P.S. I hate your lean genetics. . .fucker! lol ![]()

lol I know I know…trust me tho, it’s a double edge sword. I don’t have to suffer through dieting but its FREAKING HARD to put on weight lol. 5-6k a day right now and I’m barely growing, if anything maintaining lol. I think 6k minimum is what I need to keep growing and I plan to devise an attack to be able to consume that much here very shortly.
Thank God for AAS
lmao! (yes I know I still have to eat big on the sauce)
DG
Perfect post.
Conditioning means NOTHING if you don;t have the size and proportions laid out that are largely a result of having the right frame cultivated by training and putting on mass as a sole goal when under 25 or so, and also filling it out properly and holding on to your size long enough to reach maturity (30-35).
On the other hand, if you have the right frame and size, you will be able to retain your proportions even with intense/prolonged dieting.

Wasn’t impressed by his physique at all…even him being 17. Attached is a pic of my little bro at 15yo 165, no special dieting or training…
But its cool this kid has got the determination and guts to stand up on stage and shit…doing the shit he loves.
No disrespect to your little brother, Adrenolin, but there’s no comparison to him and that 17 yr old bodybuilder. Your brother has very little muscle mass.

I think it is actually a great comparison. Many of these guys would actually consider his little brother “ripped” and muscular when the truth is he’s an average kid who isn’t fat. You see tons of these kid in the inner city. They simply aren’t the ones hunched over in front of an X-Box for hours because their parents can’t afford one.
That means they actually do really crazy shit like…play outside.
