The reason why I started this post is because I’d like to know what journals people keep and just how closely they monitor their training.
Whether we do it or not we all know its really important and that we should to get the best developement in strength and mass.
I suppose this post could be seen as a checklist for people wanting to start training properly, giving them an idea of the things they need to do in order to really get a grip with their training outside the gym.
In my opinion these are the necessities, and please correct me if I’m wrong!
-
Nutrition log
(ie. Food diary w/ calories counted and diet monitoring in all phases of bulking/cutting etc.) -
Supplement log
(What supplements you used in each phase, introduction of new supplements, experimenting and so on)
-Training log (To monitor strength gains, mood in training, good day, bad day all that stuff)
I can’t think of anymore of the top of my head but the more experienced lifter who does it all might shed some light on what you really need to record to take your training to the next level!
(I couldn’t find a previous topic on the subject either so sorry in advance if there has been a previous post going through all this!)
Thanks
