  1. Please don’t try to push your ways on other people. For example, if a person starts a thread on how to do high bar squats, don’t come in preaching how Westside does wide stance box squats.

Ive seen this taken way too far on another forum . it was actually stated that nobody should ever seek ANY training advice or programming methodology on the internet . …the only method to use is that of the person making the statement…who happens to sell training DVD’s on the internet .

What needs to be stopped is this bullshit thing people do when they say they’re “drug free.” No one really gives a shit whether or not you use gear.

If you use this belt, I will laugh at you: http://www.inzernet.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=PRBELT
It’s ‘gimicky’ and in no way can you look like a badass while you’re cranking on that stupid ratchet. I’ve personally seen a guy prepping for a PR on the deadlift using that belt. He started to pace back and forth, snort his ammonia cap, then start pulling on the ratchet to tighten the belt and it would squeak.

His 3 training partners and other buddies in the gym just busted out laughing (this is the kind of gym where everybody knows everybody). For the record, no one messed up his lift by laughing, but he gets hell for using it all the time. I think he just keeps it because he feels dumb for spending so much money and now feels obligated.

infinite_shore always seems like such a fucking tool. I’m trying my hardest to get stronger than he is so I can make fun of him someday. I think I’m about there on bench, but I’ve got a lot of fucking work to do on squats and deadlifts.[/quote]

hahahaha! One of the biggest motivation.

oops. I ranted without really making my point. Seeing that belt being recommended in “what belt should I get” topics makes my teeth hurt. did I justify my rant?
