hahahaha
A lot of the really good information here gets diluted by all the bs posts:
-people at my strength level giving advice. How so-and-so got his squat from 185 to 225 isn’t useful. I’m ok with being humble and coming here to ask questions instead of answering them
-5/3/1 questions…put them in the big 5/3/1 thread or don’t ask them. It’d be nice if mods would delete 5/3/1 threads
-butthurt over using straps, chalk, wraps, belts, etc…as long as I’m not taping tennis balls behind my knees, who cares. Now that I ignore that BS advice I handle heavier weights and am not getting hurt.
Reading a couple articles and thinking they know everything there is about gaining strength.
Oh, and the inflated egos.
Yes! Things like this piss me off. Not really a lifting term, but I hate the saying “it is what it is…” No shit.
Oh and giving anything over 100%

For me:
The term Butt-wink… ok we cant find anything manlier then the term butt-wink. It just give the mental imagery of someones chocolate starfish winking at you. Can someone with a better imagination please reword this action. Low back curve just sounds soo much better
Adding shit that like it is gear that really does not matter…For example
Deads
315x2
365x2
Added chalk
405x1
really, added chalk? If your not “adding chalk” to deadlifts at some point you just should play in traffic. Same thing with “added wrist wraps” Just stick to adding things that really make a difference like briefs, bench shirt, squat suit with or without straps up…
Finally terms like ATG squat. I hate this, why cant it be just a squat. If you break parallel then it passes and is called a squat. You do not get a 4th white light for your taint grazing the floor. When someone asks about my total I never heard the question “how low was your squat” even though my reply would be “my balls tea-bagged the devils forehead, that how low” I just never got this question. Its either I got 500 or missed it.
feel free to add on!
Adults like you that don’t know the difference between “your” and “you’re”.
Oh yes, how could I forget the guy who tells people to make asinine program changes which will end up hurting the lifters on this powerlifting forum. The guy who does not have any posted videos of his own lifting as well as never stepped on a platform, who gives advice to lifters on here. But grammar is more important to a powerlifting forum.
I apologize to everyone, I really just do not care enough when I am typing random shit on this forum to grammar/spell check my posts
Good to hear from you again Caltene, you always provide great substance to a conversation

God damn grammar Nazis. That shit needs to die.
This is an example of exactly what this forum doesn’t need. If he’s giving bad advice then call him on it at that time. Making a thread like this does nothing at all for any of us except bring out the petty side of people.

If you have a problem with something I said in another thread, please address it in that thread or at least send me a p.m. The thing is, I have no clue what you’re talking about. The only thing you said that’s true is that I’ve never posted videos of my lifting.
Things to eliminate from the PL forum:

It was an old thread that I just looked at. I actually do owe you an apology, it was another person that was giving the bad advice, you were just there correcting grammar again and be in general an ass. Sorry for the confusion. I was wrong.

I work as a writer for a television news station, I can’t help it…lol. It drives me nuts to see people type like that.

You forgot a conjunction, mister television news station writer.
I only get annoyed with spelling and bad grammar when it makes something unbearably hard to read. It’s like eye rape or something like that lol.
CARDIO… i just reallly hate anything to do with cardio…
“225 x 4 x 5”
Is that 4 sets of 5 or 5 sets of 4?

Or he could have used a semi-colon instead of a comma. Either way that’s minus one point on your paper.
This thread.

People who spend time posting in a thread just to say how worthless the thread is to post in.
infinite_shore always seems like such a fucking tool. I’m trying my hardest to get stronger than he is so I can make fun of him someday. I think I’m about there on bench, but I’ve got a lot of fucking work to do on squats and deadlifts.
