Things That Make You Chuckle

NYC and Boston don’t, but they have other nice features that outweigh the bad weather, just like the downsides of LA outweigh the good weather Ive only been there in the winter for short stints, but NYC winter isn’t that much worse than pissburgh’s based on weather reports.

Boston winter would really suck, but I like other aspects of the city (culture, proximity to smart people, job opportunities, city layout )

St. Pete and Charlotte do have good weather compared to Pittsburgh

Edit: I liked Boston despite spending 10 very sleep deprived and stressed weeks there. I have some…. Opinions…. About a certain school nearby though

Closest thing to Shanghai in the US

:pensive:.

Actually though- a ton of my family has migrated to the gulf coast and Love it. My brother moved to right around Naples cuz he’s quadriplegic and he loves that its warm & flat.

I am from pittsburgh…nothing offends me if anyone says something about pissburgh

humid summers suck in pissburgh, grew up with no A/C

Watch the movie “escape from new york” with kurt russell…thats what nyc has turned into

We have some pretty cool history though.

Paul Jaworski - Wikipedia.

My Gram lived in Mine 3 and my Pap in Coverdale.

I’ve seen guys from all over central America and the Caribbean get disgusted and leave during the summer. :man_shrugging:t2: I dunno. I’ve never known anything else.

Don’t you live in Florida

Most FL homes have AC

Heat and humidity isn’t bad during the day, but not being able to sleep is hell

I was a teaching pro in Orlando, at a Disney course. Guy came down for a conference in July and his wife took a one hour lesson with me.

After ten minutes she begged me to take her to the bar and get a drink

Easiest lesson ever.

Hole in one! :3rd_place_medal:

I hate the summers in florida. In fact, December-February are the only months I am comfortable here.

It is a city full of minority indigents.

Of those cities, the only ones that are any good are St. Pete and Tampa.

Boston and NYC are both cesspools. Charlotte is okay.

I place value on 1) walkabiltiy/decent public transport that’s not busses 2) proximity to academic circles 3) not being in the south

I see what you did there.

It is relative for what you are judging an area by for sure.

My values are 1) Gun laws 2) Crime 3) Proximity to vast tracts of land with NOBODY on them aka not the north.

I dislike rural regions

I will never get how anyone likes big cities I guess as much as you don’t get how anyone likes wide open rural areas with no people haha.
