Things That Make You Chuckle

Just bought a bottle of ā€œKids green glueā€ - Vegan obviously. I didn’t dare buying the petroleum based version, as the shop assistant gave me ā€œthatā€ look. What is the world coming to. Do I have to make enemies in order to stay fossilized? I’m an involuntary vegan…

Is there a vegan version of Cool whip on offer yet?

He is just missing NVG’s, suppressor, and a high-end optic.

But, I approve. Santa better keep his fatass out of my castle. That dirty commie is not getting credit around my house for the good shit my kids get.

The schools in my area last year put out a press release to parents about not telling their kids that Santa brought them nice toys as to not make other kids feel bad when they didn’t get anything or got lesser gifts.

I laughed as if I am going to let some government entity tell me what to tell my kids and do in my own home.

It happens every year. Someone comes out with an amazing new pencil right about now, and I feel intimidated and unworthy.

I’m like the Charlie Brown of mechanical pencils.

The question is how much do they want for it and does it come 0.5 mm?

Adults still use pencils?

All I use are pens - I never make mistakes. :joy:

I love a good mechanical pencil for drawing nice clean precise lines to mark cuts & grinds.

Or the micro sharpies.

When I learned how to draft I got obsessed with pencils.
0.3 mm soft lead for nice light lines, 0.5 and 0.7 for slighter darker lines.
1.0 or even 2.0 mm depending on scale for outside edges.
You quickly learn to appreciate a well made pencil, mechanical of wood&graphite.

I gained an appreciation for them in fabrication.

The regular ole #2 just doesn’t cut it.

I hate pencils.

All they remind me of is standardized tests and the bar exam.

Yeah, but how much is it??

You don’t scribe your lines?

Ultra-Fine point sharpies work okay, but still have a ~.010" line… sometimes accurate means ACCURATE. But that’s just me working aviation stuff so :man_shrugging:

Also, no lead (or graphite) on parts. Nothing like cutting your writing into a titanium engine component because you forgot to erase it properly.

Like 3 beams of green light? A friend of mine works in the electromechanical division of a component manufacturer, and thats their idea of ā€œgood enoughā€.

I’m just working with a portaband and an angle grinder.

I have tattooed a good many pieces by heating them with marker on them.

North of $150.00.

Thats just too much for me. I’d be afraid to drop it.

What do you do when you lose the pen or if it gets stolen? For the price tag I assume they have a GPS transponder fitted to the unit? Any smart watch functions?

Any other functions worth mentioning? Is it able to use as a dildo? I know, not exactly politically correct, but I just had to ask (getting close to christmas and all - and after all we are in the chuckle section here which allow for some liberty, in my opinion)

Yeah. I might go $20 and still call it an expensive pencil. I’ll stick with whatever it is I use, the mechanical pencils that have to be thrown away because you can never get them to work with refills, but which come in a pack of like 25 so it doesn’t matter.

I use them for my planner, which with cancellations and reschedules gets a lot of editing.
