How fast do you type?

Faster when I don’t have to read and answer to such idiotic posts.

That was uncharacteristically harsh. I was genuinely curious as to the typing speed of a man in your profession…you seem quite prolific–putting out at least an article every other week, writing several hundred page books, and answering questions on a daily basis.

Top that off with working with private clients and doing seminars, I was seriously wondering what kind of typing speeds you need to maintain if, for instance, I wanted to accomplish such things.

I didn’t give a bunch of irrelevant details in the initial post because I didn’t want to bother you with them.

Whatever.

I’m not a good typer… I still use the two hands/one finger technique. Typing skills has nothing to do with what I can accomplish, proper time management does.

I generally have between 5 to 8 clientd per day and I schedule a 90 minutes time slot with each of them, but in reality the workouts normally last 60 minutes, so I have time to answer questions between clients.

I have my Sunday’s off, and that’s when I write my articles. I will sometimes write 2-3 per week, so I’m actually set for several months in advance right now.[/quote]

so how do you fit training and preping meals in that? haah

Hey coach hows it going? had a question about the ME method. When you have somebody do say 5 sets of 3 reps, do you have them use the same amount of weight for every set, or ramp up to a max attempt of three on the last set or what?

Coach, what finger exercises do you recommend for offseason keyboard athletes looking to increase their gains? I’m hoping to hit 120 raw at the next ITF (International Typing Federation) meet in October. Also could you recommend a suit or belt to wear during subsequent meets and tell me how much I can expect my WPM to increase with the use of equipment.

So Thibs,

I have a long torso, and im 5 foot 8 with a 6ft wingspan ( so my arms are pretty long)

Should I just give up bench pressing all together?? I mainly feel it in my shoulders everytime I give it a go. But I do feel incline preses in my chest.

What other chest exercises in your experiences have been good for guys with my bodytype??

CT, I think I ate too much HCL…I feel sick to my stomach after trying it for 5 days…what should I do to help neutralize it all? Just stop taking it? I haven’t had any in 2 days and I still don’t feel good…

Hi sarah.
If anything i would have some over the counter heartbrun/ stomach acid neutralizers.
Also for the time being avoid like the plague stuff like
Spicy foods
Onions
Chocolate
Peppermint
Citrus fruits
Tomatoes
Peppers
Alcohol
Coffee
Carbonated drinks

Drink and i hope CT doesn’t kill me but milk would help somebit to sooth your stomach.

I may be wrong but hope it helps somewhat and your better soon.

Christian,

My first question is regarding recovery.I would like to do some gpp work to try and speed up my recovery.I have been doing some walking recently a day after training which has kept my body feeling less sore however was wonder what else is good to do for recovery?Would it be ok to do something like this on my days off.

Press ups 3x12-15
Bw Squats 3x12-15
Lunges 3x12-15

maybe as a superset? Also any ideas on what other exercises as i dont have a sled or any other equipment?

I have heard stuff about ice baths however how long exactly would i need to be in the bath for?And why would this help my recovery?

Ramp up until the 3RM is reached

I prepare all my daily meals the night before.

I normally split my daily training into two 30 minutes sessions. I am much more likely to have time for such short sessions than one longer one.

But to be honest, when you are a successful coach, your own training eventually has to take the back seat.

Coach, when you say we need, ext loading, micro-trauma and growth factors to build muscle… does external loading mean actually how many weight (load) are you using? Another question of mine is if the hormones that are stimulated with constant tension exercises are enough to stimulate additional growth?

Hi Thib,
Quick question on cooked meat. I pre-cook all meats on a Sunday and eat through the week. Is there a guideline on water loss for chicken/beef after cooking? I ask b/c if as an example I am to eat 6 oz of chicken I know that 4.5 oz of cooked chicken equals 6 oz uncooked (25% reduction due to water loss). I am on a moderate fat loss program and the easiest thing for me is to weigh and eat food after its been cooked so any guidance on how to estimate would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

CT,

Do these sessions follow your typical guidelines for two-a-day training, especially with regard to spacing them 4-6 hours apart, or is it mostly dependent upon how you’re feeling on a given day as well as what that day’s schedule deals you?

I also had a question about fish oil. Why is it typically recommended to use a mix of liquid and capsule fish oil supplements rather than just one or the other. Is it a physical reason or related to cost with liquid being somewhat more cost-effective to add in place of additional capsules when high doses are used?

Glutamine and magnesia milk and an anti-acid like pepcid AC should help.

One of my good friend who is a biochemist actually recommend taking these about 1 hour after a meal in which you used HCL to rebalance your PH

I honestly would like to tell you that I follow everything to a ‘‘T’’, but the fact is that I’m somewhat of a slave to my schedule, so I have to make the most of what little time I have, so it can happen that I will bend some training and nutrition rules.

It’s mostly for convenience purposes. We normally recommend to use the liquid at home and the caps when you are away since they are easier to carry.

Individuals who are on high doses of fish oil (30g +) also find it easier to use the liquid form.

CT,

I had one follow-up question about the fish oil…if using anywhere from 4-10 Flameout and then adding some additional liquid fish oil per day(ex. Carlson’s liquid or Poliquin’s Uber DHA), would the ratio of EPA to DHA in the liquid be critical/goal dependent(e.g. skewed toward EPA if looking to improve insulin sensitivity or skewed toward DHA if in a training block with heavy stress on the CNS) or at such high doses would the amounts of EPA relative to DHA in the capsules and liquid be less critical since you’d likely be getting a lot of both anyway?

And I was also wondering if one of the reasons you have high regard for coconut oil is due to its benefit to the immune system, since you say a healthy immune system is a main key to promoting anabolism.
