I was looking at you “Your Ticket to the Gun Show” program and came across the exercise Single Dumbbell Static Hold. I have looked all over on how to do this, but i cannot find any more information on it. Where do you hold the dumbbell when you do this?
Thanks in advance.
Using a preacher/scott curl bench, hold the weight in a position where the forearm is parallel to the floor (around the mid-range point).
I would like to start an Insulin Resistance Protocol and a Testosterone Protocol as recommended by Poliquin. Would you stack these? If not, in what order would you run them? Could they both be done while running Get Jacked?
My lab results came back this week, lower than what I expected them to be.
What would you consider the TOP 5 supplements and/or ways to increase Testosterone?
Any concern with long term EFA’s use and blood thinning problems.
To me it sounds great from a cardiac and insulin regulation factor but,
I just read a study from Europe that it didn’t reduce cardiac risk and to be concerned with blood thinning on some people.
although I take most study’s with a grain of salt until more are done. It did raise my attention on the blood thinning idea.

It is a very faint possibility in certain individual and a large intake. However at normal doses in the average individual, there is not a significant risk.

I normally recommend only focusing on one soecific issue at a time.
Insulin should be the primary focus because by properly regulatin insulin you will actually lower cortisol and increase testosterone.
However Receptormax can actually help both with insulin an androgen/testo receptor sensitivity.
I have been reading you comments for a while now and have to say that they are probably the largest source of information I have when it comes to nutrition and training, so basically…thanks, a lot.
I am also curious if there is any eta on the new program you are working on. I have been doing more low volume stuff as of late, leaving reps in the tank so to speak, and it sounded like this new thing would be a good change up. I am very eager to find out more, and am curious about the timing. I understand if it is “top secret”.
Well, I am off to look up casein hydrolysate since I have never heard of it before!
Thanks again.
The project is ever evolving, I’m actually leaving tomorrow for a trip related to it. The good news is that it is gonna be much bigger than anticipated, the bad news is that you’ll have to wait for it a little longer.

One of the exercise mentioned in your e-book, is the Push Press. Can this be done with dumbbells? Or must it be done with a bar?
Do you recommend a belt with this exercise? Normally I don’t wear belts as I feel they actually weaken your support muscles, but for this one, I’m not sure.
Yes you can use dumbbells.
No you don’t need to wear a belt. I never wear one personally. I’m not an anti-belt extremist, if you want to wear one, fine, but if you can do it without it will always be more effective overall.

Thibs,
I am currently undertaking an low-carb diet + insulin protocol advocated by Poliquin....(Fenuplex & Insulinomics) Should I cease adding the 5g Leucine before each meal while on the insulin protocol?
If someone miscalculated their food intake and was eating low enough calories for a long enough time to slow down the thyroid, and reap havoc on other hormones (this is a low carb <75g type diet)…
What would be the best way to jump start proper thyroid and hormonal function? 24 hour carb load? 24 hour calorie load?
I know this thread is past the title dates, but I’ll ask my question anyway.
I’m finishing up the Velocity Diet, but would still like to lose some more fat. I plan on using your Refined Physique Transformation training/nutrition guidelines along with 2 bottles of Receptormax (I have poor insulin sensitivity and store a lot of fat in the lower back). Would you recommend any change in the Receptormax dosage based on the low-carb nature of the program?

I would still use it the same way. If you ever show signs of hypoglycemia then reduce the doses, but it isn’t likely to happen.
If anything Receptormax will help you during a low-carbs diet, especially if you are lack insulin sensitivity.
Can you help me out with this I have some serious issues with superiliac fat and upper back fat. I took your advice and purchased ReceptorMax, I want to make sure I am using it to the best of its ablilities. I am eating really clean on a low carb diet. I apologize if this issue has been covered.
I am starting a regiment of ReceptorMax. The recommended use says 1 before each meal and 3 before you workout. I workout first thing in the morning and before my workout I have about 30 grams of protien from Grow!. Will the pre-workout protein effect the way ReceptorMax performs. Also, I am on a low carb diet will this improve the effects of ReceptorMax?

Christian, do you think it would be wise/advisable to use something like Fenuplex with ReceptorMax? Or is that overkill?
Receptormax has 4-hydroxyisoleucine which is an active component of the fenugreek extract, it would be better to cycle them. If you do… let me know how it goes, I just got a bottle of fenugreek in order to use it pwo.
