nice, what makes that one so much better than ones sold here?[/quote]
Well, isolate is isolate… MOST of the time. One of the problem in the US is that a lot of companies will sell an ISOLATE product, and claim it as such only because Isolate is the main ingredient. Sometimes it will have 75% isolate, 20% concentrate and 5% junk, but they can still claim that it’s an isolate.
The owner of the Canadian company is a friend and he gives me the spec analysis of the powder.
In the US there are much less regulation regarding supplements.
Biotest is one of the few companies that actually supply a top quality product. A lot of companies, especially the cheaper ones, are able to skimp on the quality of the ingredients and sometimes they do not meat label claims. A lot of people claim that Biotest’s products are expensive and they go the cheaper route. Listen, other companies are sometimes cheaper FOR A REASON! I can guarantee you that Biotest’s profit margin is not higher than the cheaper companies. The later charge less simply because they use less expensive, low quality ingredients.
In Canada the companies are inspected much more frequently and have to present product analysis several times a year.
So in other words there are only three companies I trust 100% and use:
Biotest (for most of my supplements… BCAAs, Beta-alanine, Metabolic Drive, Flameout, Surge Workout Fuel, Superfood, and Surge Recovery when in a mass gaining phase)
Poliquin’s company for Betaine HCL and some specialty items
XPN for whey isolate, glutamine and liquid fish oil (when I consume 45g per day, I use 1-2 servings of Flameout and 20-30g of liquid fish oil).
