SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

The first person to call Julianne at my office at 800-519-2492 and sing “You are the wind beneath my wings” (and with FEELING by the way) wins a FREE copy of my new DVD, A Complete Video Guide To Escalating Density Training.

Good luck, and let the contest begin

I’m guessing those are tears of laughter.

When you hit the third stanza, I dropped my Grow! shake and fell off my chair. But you do have guts my friend, I’ll say that much. Enjoy the DVD.

Thanks Charles. Can’t believe I was on speaker phone. The two thumps I heard in the background, were those two people falling over from the horrifying noise?

Thanks also to the ever-vigilant Julianne.
Hey also, just a heads-up, we’re repeating a very cool promo called Best Summer; Team Staley Transformation in the Building A Better Body forum ? do yourselves a favor and have a look.

Hey I’m here, what ya wanna chat about tonight?

(We just had a GREAT coaching call with Bud Jeffries ? check this out…he squatted 700x15, totally raw! he also walked 1/2 mile with 500 on his back, just to name a few)

But we can chat about whatever you like.

OK, over to you!

Absolutely. I’ve always said that if you used EDT for the rep work on a Westside template, you’d get better results. So, yes, I like the idea
what would your suggestion be for emplementing EDT as a rep day?

running two EDT Zones on thursday for say 4-6 weeks and then going back to more normal training for a cycle

or running 1 EDT Zone for 3-4 weeks and then changing the exercises and run those for 3-4 weeks

or ???

And, no doubt, still pulling the cotton balls from her ears.

Whatever she gets paid, its not enough. I’m sure listening to cats f@ck is more melodious than my rendition (read: complete butchering) of that song.

And genuine concern. Daniel, you should NEVER sing again ? ever. And I mean that in the nicest way possible (!)

I’m not sure I would do a “rep day” per se, I think I do rep work after the core lift on any given workout

Hmmm this may work better in the 3 day split I’m working on… throws a wrench in my planning though! HAHA I will get it figured out and let you know how it works for me

have allready had some great conversations on this topic with other lifters and know of one very advanced trainer implementing EDT in his own training more like you mentioned… I’m sure your both on to something

when you max out and take 80% of that for reps, what is the breakdowns again plz. i got 8 reps today after maxing out. i was hoping i would only get 4, lol so i would be more fasttwitch,

Wow… how am I supposed to follow that?!

I believe that you’re still in the “mixed fiber” zone which, if I recall, is where 80% of the population falls. A true slow-twitch dominant would get around 12 reps with 80%.

Just as an aside, T-Nation should try to get an article from Bud Jeffries.
