Thehokiefloyd TRT log

Alright gentlemen, I’ve found another provider that will fit my limited starting budget! I’m going with Royal Medical for treatment this time around and will keep this post to track my treatment as long as I am with them.

I have a couple of questions at the bottom of this opening post. Please feel free to chime in if you guys have experience, and once again, a thank you to all here for your guidance.

Tomorrow I should be going in for a physical and bloodwork.

I am concerned since my last injection was last Wednesday and tomorrow is Tuesday. I’m hoping my numbers are low enough to get on their program so I don’t have to wait for a complete crash to get approved.

I also wanted to mention that the sales-rep told me they would not compound an AI with my Testosterone in the vial but the doctor would send Anastrozole as a tablet as protocol…I’m not touching that stuff if I can help it. We’ll see what happens.

Tomorrow’s my physical and a full lab workup (definitely need full labs).

Do you gentlemen think it will be ok to get labs to qualify me for treatment with this new facility just before a trough day?

What are the qualifying/disqualifying factors in a physical for trt?

If you’ve already been diagnosed with low testosterone, then it will be easy to get treatment. I can’t answer your last question because I’m not a provider. When I joined Defy Medical I told them I was already on TRT which was confirmed by my suppressed LH.

Excellent point systemlord. I imagine they’ll check my LH/FSH levels, so I’m guessing, no worries there.

Tell them whats up. I have told Every place i spoke with that i refuse to crash my t and skip doses for there blood work. And they were fine with it. I just provided my old labs that showed me low. I believe they can also just check that you are mostly shut down and be ok with high t

Hopefully my sales-rep communicates that to the prescribing doc. Other than that, LH and FSH should show low.

I would think so. Once you tell them your history and what you have been taking and when, they can extrapolate from there.

Elevated PSA, elevated prolactin (rule out microadenoma/prolactinoma), uncontrolled hypertension come to mind immediately.

Thank you for the affirmation highpull

Labs on PSA were 0.8 so I’m in the range of Labcorps 0.4-4.0

As far as the physical aspect goes I imagine BP and pulse is what they’ll be looking at for hypertension…both have been elevated after T-injections began though.

Alright, just following this post up with some updates for my new T provider. Will start a new post regarding upstream hormones, the use of HCG etc, in a bit.

I got labs and a physical done locally yesterday for my new provider in Florida which is convenient. They did not test for Free Testosterone, DHT, DHEA, SHBG, Pregnenolone however. I do have previous labs from 2-5-19 and know my SHBG is high (57.6) and my TT/FT ratio is 1.8% at peak plasma concentrations (thanks to highpull). I called my sales rep who said they would test for those if necessary, I’m sure this is a cost issue. $195 to begin treatment is a cost risk the company is probably taking for limited labs, a physical, and a 1 month supply of 2000mgs/10ml vial of Testosterone Cypionate + HCG + Anastrozole (which I don’t think I’ll need, at least not right now). The only way for the company to recover costs would be through $195 every following month, which if this works out, would be more than fair to me for treatment. We’ll see how this goes…got my fingers crossed.

The company is setting up a appointment for me to speak with the doctor in Florida this week or next week. I should have enough Testosterone till then for 75mg twice a week injections. Hopefully I’ll have a script at my door by next Wednesday in time for my next injection after I’m our of my T.

Ok new labs…not the best pictures. The service did NOT test for all the necessary labs.

Guys please tell me if you see anything that’s way off.
Thank you for your feedback

It’s difficult to say anything without Free T and SHBG, all CBC labs on the lower end which is what we would see if Free T was very low.

Your previous comment about high SHBG is starting to paint a picture in my mind, I expect to see Free T sub-optimal. Total T has no influence on your body, it’s locked up.

Thank you systemlord. I forgot to mention the labs were drawn on a trough day…though I don’t feel very useful with such limited labs.

This clinic is a one stop Testosterone shop for an entry price of $195…I didn’t expect to much but I hoped for Free T levels and SHBG.

On the other hand, if my phone interview goes well on Monday, I’ll have a 2000mg/10ml vial in my lap by Friday. Their also giving me a box of Anastrozole and enough hCG for 1,000iu’s weekly should I decide to use it. Better than nothing but I’m rolling the dice I suppose. At least my T won’t run out

Yeah, that was my fear. I’ve already been running 150mgs weekly 2 weeks prior to my labs. I don’t know what it will take to get my Free Testosterone out of the gutter.
I’m not enjoying the unevenness of 1 once weekly injections either.

Estradiol is up from 16.7pg/mL to 31.4pg/mL however so although I don’t have a good E/T ratio, my joints don’t hurt as much.

I still feel the highs and lows though like I got really old man syndrome.

I’ve heard the term androgen resistant. Does anyone know what that means?

I wanted to be completely transparent about Royal Medical’s service concerning my treatment from them. IMO, A good review of a company should contain ALL the ups and ALL the downs of ones personal experience with that company. This is just my own personal beliefs and values.
DISCLAIMER: It is important to note that as a member of their services, I get a month of free treatment for every referral I give out. I’m not in this for any financial gains. This is not a business opportunity for me, it is treatment and as such, I personally feel I would be severely lacking in my own integrity to post anything about Royal without disclosing this information first. Anyone who chooses to go with this company based on my review of Royal Medical should know this first.
For anyone else who may promote a service and receives an added benefit from a referral but is not transparent, I have no problem with that. This is solely my choice for my own peace of mind.

Ok, yesterday I got the call from the doctor at Royal. We spoke for 10 minutes or so but he seemed rushed. He promptly prescribed me a weekly dosage of 200mgs of Testosterone Cypionate infused with 1mg of Anastrozole in the vial, 0.50ml (every E3.5D) of hCG, 1mg of Anastrozole in tablet form…I was not able to say much to influence his prescription so I felt pretty hopeless for about an hour.
I decided to call my sales-rep back and stated that I had unfortunately crashed my E2 numbers before with Anastrozole and the experience was miserable. I told him that I could not inject 1mg of Anastrozole a week. My Sales rep (Walter) told me he would talk to the doc and call me back shortly and he promptly did.
Walter said he talked to the doc and got my prescription changed to 200mgs weekly NO Anastrozole infused with it…so I’m a happy camper now.
The rest of the prescription is the same as before. Since my Testes quickly shrunk up shortly after the initial Testosterone injections with my previous NP, I will start running some hCG and see how I do for 3 months once my prescription arrives.

According to Royal Medical, I will get my tracking number for my delivery in the next 72hrs or so. We’ll see what happens.
My last injection of 60mgs on Sunday was the very last of my Testosterone. So I’m hoping it gets here soon so I can restart my E3.5D injections again.

Lastly, my prescription package contents should arrive with the following within:

2 2000mg/10ml vials of Testosterone Cypionate for 2 months of injections.

1 10ml vial of bacteriostatic water

2 5ml vials of hCG powder

20 1mg tablets of Anastrozole

I will update this log when my tracking information gets here.

The fact that they even prescribe Test with AI’s compounded is problematic and is reason enough for anyone else to stay away, none of the experienced reputable hormone doctors would ever compound Test with anastrozole or offer 1mg tabletes. The 1mg tablets are impossible to cut into smaller doses, if working with a reputable compounding pharmacies, they offer .125mg AI’s and this place doesn’t off that flexibility.

200mg is a lot of testosterone and is too much for most men.

I don’t plan on injecting 200mg weekly but my SHBG is sitting at 57.6 so until I can lower that number I might consider it for awhile.

This is very true. It is the reason why I had to call my sales-rep/Health Co-ordinator to get the doc to drop the AI from my Testosterone compound or I’d be stuck with it. You should know by now that my other option financially is finding the guy at my gym, making good with him, and self dosing with possibly Balken or worse, Chinese lab made Testosterone…then there’s the question of what AI I can get from him, and all at what cost? How often is this guy going to be in business? Who the hell knows his supplier? The list goes on. It’s a viable route if I get lucky and find the right guy. Hopefully he’s not pushing Dianabol or Decca either.

This is about as reputable as it gets right now…cookie cutter, home injectable, Federally regulated pharmaceutical US FDA products, an option to dose more or less up to 200mgs at my behest, and no doctors. You don’t have to mention the downsides systemlord, I will do that myself when I review them fully and thoroughly on this site. I will include the ups and downs of their services.

Don’t worry, I won’t be detracting from Defy’s services. This option is for people who are in a specific bind like myself. If I could afford the upfront at Defy, I would have done so first.

No Telemedicine clinic is perfect, I will be sure to include the imperfections of the one I am using. I’d really recommend to others, to use a great regular local mens clinic and come in for weekly labs to fine tune every hormone, before recommending any telemedicine clinics systemlord, even Defy…but we really don’t have that luxury, you and I.
I say that to say that I’m not going to steal your billboard dude. I’m not competing for business. I think Defy is great already and who knows, I may be reviewing them at some point if this doesn’t work out.

I’ve done plenty of chemistry and will be dissolving them in something soluble, alcohol if necessary.

I do appreciate your concern but this is my choice and availability. If you told me you could have gotten me in at Defy for $195 for labs, doctors visit, and 2 months supply of all meds, when my Nurse Practitioner jumped ship and I felt screwed, then I’d be with Defy right now based on reputation alone.

I know you mostly mean well.

Man, what a story. Disappointing that some have to go through so much difficulty trying to get this right. Good luck.

I know highpull :pensive:. One day in the future when my life is much different, I will be going through one of several very reputable clinics in Nashville. It will be a lot of money but I know a couple here in Nashville are top-notch.
It’s the $$$ for these guys unfortunately. For 8K they will give you any test you could think of on a weekly basis and throw any man into high normal hormone levels…no questions asked. They cater to many wealthy guys at my gym…I’m just not that guy yet.

You know…Magic Johnson of the LA Lakers was the first guy I heard of to get “cured” from HIV.

Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds brought HGH into the public eye.

Rich and famous people stay in pretty damn good health and get whatever they ask for despite their lifestyle.

I still can’t believe Tom Petty was performing near death after major health issues. He had a legal mobile drugstore on tour with him though.

Yah your good man. I’d do the same and so would thousands more if they were in your shoes. Most folks don’t need serious overhead if they take bloods and pay attention to protocols and the newest trends in trt. You’ll be fine. It will work you have the info to make it work.

Yah so 8k is not trt. This is hGH , weekly bags of drip + vitamins and alll kinds of stuff. The really good trt docs in the industry today charge an annual
Fee between 1500 and 2500 yearly. One payment up front instead of monthly. This includes labs (for some) , but not medicine. They ship you 1 to 6 months supply at a time and you can schedule a call or email them with questions. Some vary but the three docs I looked into operate this way.

So don’t worry about that. When the time comes you will not need to pay such high costs.

My old clinic told me they have a expensive plan that’s 800 a month. This was due to the hGH and other hormones .

Thanks for the encouragement enackers. Half the time I feel like I’m losing in this battle and the other half the time I feel like I’m just going through the hoops to get to where I’m supposed to be at.

It might take awhile but I believe I’ll get there. I can’t wait to feel like everything is more firmly in place.

One of the most well known older T prescribing doctors in Nashville is runs a sports medicine clinic called “Elite”. He’s an extremely well known doctor whose wall is covered by plaques, signed jerseys, and pictures of him with tons of current and ex major athletes. Every doctor in Nashville immediately knows his name (he repaired my torn labrum and rotator cuff in my right shoulder). He’s the kind of guy your talking about. HGH and every hormone therapy technique you could think of…ridiculously expensive, but has every single aspect of treatment covered right down to genetic compositions.
