Thanks for your advice Mr Gym Savvy.
Usually my lifting is power based, usually involving 8 to 3 reps. But me and my trainer decided just to mix it up a bit and try something different for 6 weeks.
Yesterday I did 10 sets of 10 reps of squats at 90kg, follwed by leg raises. 90 seconds break.
I feel its good for the cardio side of things. Although once this cycle is over I will go back to lower reps.
Aint nuthin but an almond!

Donāt need to be bigger than that to be good at football. Iām sure it can help some people to be bigger, but it pays to spend as much time honing other important skills (ball control, vision, shooting, marking etc)

Ha ha! Nice teardrop bird. Seeing that pic I would have thought youād be squatting bigger numbers. Maybe hams/glutes/lower back need some work? Anyway, I wasnāt looking to ruffle your feathers. Just pointing out that you mocked my high rep squat thread a couple of months ago and now you post about 10 X 10 squats. The second I want you to validate what Iām doing Iāll post those pics for you.
Fair enough Wilba. Yes my hams/glute/lower back do need some work. At my gym, they call me QUADzilla.
My feathers never ruffle. My point was that you should not do a high rep squat program for long
periods of time.

Had a buddy who plays somewhere around St. Neots in england now and he did 3 times a week. 2 compound movements then 2-3 assist. The reason for more assist movements is to help manage ankle/hip mobility as well as knee balance, just precautionary measures ya know.
Besides this he also had a trainer for speed he would go on the track with on alternate days and he would have another trainer help him stretch out and do flexibility training. All of his conditioning was from playing soccer all day.
Idk im just telling you what my buddy did, Idk where he is now but last I remember him being the big soccer superstar at school before he got signed while he was 16 but he decided to finish HS (when he was 18) before he left.
and wtf is that tweet tweet bullsht?
