Daddyzombie…Not sure if I asked, but where are you located in Mi? I’m in the Metro Detoilet Area.
Hi…We’re on the West side of the state. About 20 miles S. of Holland in Allegan Co. Wife and I lived near MIS in Brooklyn Mi for a couple years working in Ann Arbor, but we’ve settled over here to be near my parents. Closer to Chicago too…I grew up there, near downtown, and still crave Malnati’s pizza!

I go to Michigan every year. Sturgis and K-Zoo. Next time I visit, we can carry boulders together.
K’zoo is where we go for movies and shopping etc.

Very cool! I love the city, but I could never live there again. I miss the music, the museums, and most of all the food, but it’s just a 2 1/2 hr drive. We’ll be going to see Zoo lights in Lincoln Park in December.
Another week from Hell down, only one more to go and the hours should drop. Took the tire sled out for a stroll, 1 mile with the 35lb plate. Nice pace, didn’t think I had that much energy left in me. While out and about pulling, I saw the first flakes of the season. We’ve got some lake effect stuff going on today. Won’t be long now, we’ll be measuring it in feet.
Yet another gorgeous Michigan morning, around freezing at dawn, warmed up quickly as the sun rose. Took the sled out for a drag, 1 mile around the athletic fields. Cut down a dying ornamental plum tree recently, and trimmed up the trunk and kept it in case it could be useful in some way. Took it out with me this morning, and after the tire drag threw that chunk of tree trunk on my shoulders and went walking with it. Not terribly heavy, probably 30-40 lb. good enough to feel it pretty well after carrying it for a while.
Great training DZ. A mile long tire drag must be quite a workout. Been below freezing over here as well. I’m building some farmers walk thingies out of RR ties this weekend. I’ve been neglecting my outdoor training. Time to get back at it.

Thanks Eco! The railroad ties sound like a great idea.
I found out the hard way Saturday that raking leaves is not a shoulder friendly exercise. Neighbor lady was outside blowing leaves with a leaf blower the size of a hair dryer so my daughter and I did our good deed and finished it for her.
So, after a couple days to recoup…
What a kick ass neighbor you are! After all the cindie walks and stone carries you’ve been doing you must have a killer grip. I’ll try and get a picture of my new (easy to make) toy up this weekend.

Tire drag for a mile? Damn. And that’s a lot of walking with the stones, I live in the country. Dead leaves = fertilizer.
I live in the mountains, dead leaves = ground cover…
