War, famine, pestilence, Jimmy Carter?

Why does god need our money?

I’m sorry, but are you really asking why we offer money? To keep the lights on, keep a roof over our heads as we worship together, feed the hungry, clothe the naked (just dropped a load of clothes off myself), provide RCIA and religious material. We maintain a building and staff that does nothing else but take in food and clothing. And yes, to pay the Priest a wage. Ever actually look up their average salary?
Why does god insist you spend money to worship him?
God doesn’t require money to worship Him. Have you ever read any religious book/text? The whole point of an offering is so we can keep coming back to church and so that the church has an organ, a preacher, lights, resources, etc. I hate to say it’s like a business, but it kind of is. We don’t offer money because we have to, we offer it because it’s a good idea if we want a place to go and worship.

I’m trying to be nonconfrontational and help you to see the other side. You’re always extremely negative.

You won’t get through to him. He believes in nothing (not just spiritually) beyond his own being. I actually feel sorry for the guy.
