The Wind

just for shits and giggles…

There was a thread recently based on an interview with Serge Nubret, that was quickly hijacked into an adolescent post-fest about some stupid, pointless shit that is not worth repeating. Now, it may have registered with the good professer - why the fuck should someone stay at a site alot of individuals seem to use for sport, where someone like Nubret cannot even generate a page of intelligent discussion. I mean, if someone is really into bodybuilding, that ought to have been one serious red flag.

I leave for a couple days and everything changes. The website is different, the Prof is gone. If the ass worship thread is gone out of the Sex and the Male Animal forum, I’m out of here.

I don’t know how to work this new-fangled website, but it looks like the Prof posted a blog entry:

Moving out
Professor X Today, 02:23 PM

I think I can’t read it because we’re not buddies. At least he’s probably still alive.

I think it’s pretty apparent that he’s talking about movning from military life into civilian life. The friends I have who had to make a similar transition went through a lot of anxiety and stress. This is just the Prof venting. Whether or not he will continue to come here is a result of this change.

The real question is…

Who’s nuts will CaliLaw ride now?

I actually like how the post was written. I guess he could have taken the easy route and NOT say a thing but somehow I don’t think that’s his style. For what’s its worth, I hope this wasn’t his last post. As far as some of the people on here laughing at the fact he said tupac was a philosopher remember this quote:

Your mind is like a parachute it works best when its open.

Somehow I think he’s talking about something a little grander than logging off some fuckin website…

You guys got some serious tunnel vision going…

The Professor has always seemed like a voice of reason on most of the threads I read. I can tell by his words that he’s someone I’d get along with.

I hope he’s content, truly. I wish him the best of luck.

Well said.

Well, just think: if he didn’t start this thread, then how else would everyone whom he rubbed the wrong way manage to get in a parting shot?

It’s the Internet, man. Everyone knows that if you get in the last word of an e-argument, you win.

I’ve found that, as of late, when I’m doing a general sweep of new threads, I just kind of open up a lot of them, skim the initial post, then scroll down and look for the names/avatars of people whom I know would have an opinion worth reading.

His was one of the avatars I looked for.

Given the fact that he has yet to respond to the thread which he started, it would be a safe bet to assume there will be a break in his posting (some of us would know better than others about this).

With this in mind, and within the context of this forum, it really doesn’t matter (to us) if he was referring to anything else in addition to his hiatus from posting, as only the cessation would be the thing that affects us forumites.

In this case, the tunnel vision is practical.

It can be looked at both ways that’s the beauty of the post remember what i wrote about parachutes…

I agree, the moving van is real.

He blogged about packing his shit in boxes.

I rate this the gayest thing I have seen all week.

huge, childish ploy for attention. congrats to all the numbnuts who served it up on a golden platter.

Class act. Shame there aren’t more like him.

It’s funny that the only times I’ve fought with him was when I thought he said something stupid and he thought I had no reading comprehension. For this post, the whole site has no idea what you’re talking about.

Whatever our differences, Prof X, I have have much respect for you, and I wish you the best of luck in whatever path you choose.

Well, I don’t remember Prof X posting anything that was WRONG

BUT I have many times seen him misinterpret someone’s post, take it the wrong way, and argue about it furiously - myself included.

There really isn’t anything new in this field and I imagine someone gets sick of saying the same thing again and again especially when people don’t listen, and want to hear something else.

Then it only slows you down.

So he has not posted in a day and suddenly he is on some kind of crazy hiatus?

I’m with Irish… this is getting absolutely surreal.

That is absolutely the most elaborate “Goodbye Cruel Forum” post I have ever seen! Alternatly pathetic and inane. I always knew he was a self-worshiping asshole. Now the proof is in.
