How bad is pork fat for you, do you reckon? Because just to get the calories in, I think this is the best bet for me.
stealing that…
haha I’m sure that’s not “healthy”. But if doing that is proving beneficial and bringing you closer to your goals I don’t see why you should stop.

Like you, I’ve put on a shit load of weight without doing any cardio but started doing it recently when I began to get puffed out from putting my shoes on(gut gets in the way lol). Have you noticed much change in body comp from the steady state? 20mins 6x a week seems excessive?
Well see here’s the thing. I fucking hate low carbs so throwing in cardio will just make this process faster. I may not always do 6x a week but it’s what I’m aiming for. I don’t think it’s excessive, it’s not super intense, just enough to get my heart pumping and sweat pouring.
It’s only been a week so I can’t really make too many claims on what is working and what isn’t yet, but cardio will help regardless, even if it is only 3x a week.
Right now I just feel really flat, which is what low carb does to you since your glycogen stores are pretty much gone, but I also haven’t lost any strength so I’d say things are going well.
No problem SSC you know more about the DC style stuff so I’d rather you give out the info on that.
Yah, I’m only cutting out fats in my last meal though…since I can’t cook in the dorm my options are limited. There aren’t too many places I can buy cooked grilled chicken without being charged like $20 lol

You could intimidate the shopkeeper(s) and steal the grilled chicken like a proper barbarian would.

Have you had any injuries that you’ve had to workout around in the weight room?

The main thing has been my lower back. Its given me constant pain for as long as I can remember. Makes squatting and bent over exercises very difficult and painful. I usually try to work through it but at times I have to take a week off or so just so it can go back to being a dull pain instead of a sharp pain hah. Definitely something I wish I didn’t have to deal with.
Aside from that I’ve broken my thumb and my knuckles but I was always able to train around it. It never caused me many problems.

you should do something about that man, for me what helped was getting the Magnificent mobility DvD, Foam rolling the crap out of my hips, some ART work and a Deep Tissue massage, i also used to sleep with a pillow under my knees…you are WAY stronger then me, but we’re around the same age so id assume these things would help.

Yah I’ve gotten massages and all that, had them do some very painful stretches and what not, but I don’t know how to fix it. My dad’s a doctor and I had him look at it in depth the other day and he said it is a strained SI joint. He said it’s definitely not something that requires surgery but it does need to be rehabbed.
Right now my plan is just to bust my ass doing hyper extensions and pullthroughs and keep stretching. Hopefully I can strengthen it.

My chiro put me back together personally and that’s what I’m suggesting Waylandah. I suffered (occasionally suffer but I gots me some purple…) from a severe case of sciatica that eventually travelled down my leg and basically crimpled me for 3-4 weeks. At first we thought I had a herniated disc, but my Doc was hoping that after several treatments he could get me back to normal. Well the bastard did and it cost me a fortune but he got me back to rack-pulling, t-bar rowing, and walking. I think all my days of pulling from the floor and sometimes getting sloppy on the bent over bb row came back and bit me in the ass. I not 100% though. It sometimes comes back but not as intensely and I get an adjustment and it goes away. Thats my two centavos on your fudged up back.

If I had the money, I’d look into it, but unfortunately I don’t. hah
You should def. look into seeing a chiropractor though. I hurt my lower back pretty bad a couple months ago to the point where I couldn’t walk. I went to him for a week and I was back the next week lifting, and set a PR on rack pulls.

my parents business is right next door to a chiro, maybe I’ll ask them to make that my bday present lol

Edit: typo

haha if only my avatar was really me!
Usually when I made the potatoes I would mix them in a big bowl with a cup of brocolli with 2 cans of tuna and mix it with some of the squeezable horseradish. Throw some garlic salt on there and you’re good to go.
And no I never worried about any of that. I just ate tons of food. I may have done that accidentally at times, but most of the time I was eating P+F+C meals. I didn’t know any better, and I don’t think splitting up your meals into P+F or P+C matters that much until you are more advanced and are looking for the dry, lean gains. At the time I was just interested in still looking good naked but packing on as much mass as possible.
Nice recipe there. How many potatoes did you use and how’d it taste? Sounds like a pretty big meal. I’m takin you just boiled all of that stuff?

I use 2 small red potatoes and cup of brocolli. Throw it in a microwavable bowl, put a splash of water in there and then nuke it for about 8 minutes.
After that you just mass up the cooked potatoes, add two cans of tuna and the horseradish/garlic salt.
It is kind of dry and takes a while to eat because of the tuna, but it tastes good, if you like horseradish.

Nah man I didn’t I accidentally had my PM feature turned off until recently. If you want to send it again I’ll take a look at it.
