So Bob has replaced Dale in the hunters story arc from the comics.

cstratton2 and MaazerSmit,

I don’t want to post spoilers from the comics and I don’t know if either of you are familiar with them. Being skeptical makes sense. Also, since the comics are still going on it can be assumed the “cure” doesn’t pan out all that well.

Michonne 2014,

Didn’t the tv show already steer far away from the comics anyways? Also I am pretty sure that was like a half spoiler anyways. :^)

Oh does anyone else feel like this cure and everything will kind of end similar to the end story of the Maze Runner novels?[/quote]

Your right.

I should probably have tagged it with SPOILER.

I am unfamiliar with Maze Runner. Do you recommend it?

It looks like it.

So are they going to make Carol the “Andrea” from the comics? Hard core, sniper, survivor chick?

Regards,

Robert A

Absolutely, there is three novels that follow chronological order. They also made a prequel book, and another follow up prequel for release in 2016. The movie based off the first book is actually in movie theaters right now.

Is Bob the drunk who fucked over two other groups going to be playing the part of Dale and the Terminus survivors the parts of the hunters? Tainted meat anyone?

I’m sure he was tainted. I take it that is why he went out into the woods and was crying. I thought he was going to off himself.

SPOILERS…
It will be interesting to see how this turns out in the tv show. In the comics, the hunters didn’t know what they were up against with Rick and his people.

I still don’ t think they do … they only know that Rick and his group escaped with guns and an explosion happened. I’m sure they can put two and two together, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they know what Rick’s group is capable of.

Either way, this season’s off to a good start … 1st episode was great … 2nd episode really set up what could be two good story arcs … the “hunters” and Daryl and Carol go and look for Beth … should be an interesting 3rd episode

I had assumed Bob was bitten/scratched right after the stuff in the food pantry happened, just the way he was acting.

Since I’ve read the comics it all but confirmed it for me. I mean, the speech given to Bob was almost a direct quote from the hunters speech to Dale in the comics.

I thought the same thing, or assumed it had something to do with the wine and his alcohol issues. Does it make a difference if he was bit or not though? I mean would it taint the meat they ate from him? Because they all carry the virus whether or not their bit anyways, it just activates when they die.

Anyways I think this is a stretch but I have a feeling the cannibals might try to help them get to DC for hopes of a cure.

edit* just watched the season trailer on the first post again, I knew there was a reason I thought they were teaming up. Watch at 50 seconds in, also there is a scene that shows what ended up happening with Beth.

I saw that in the trailer. I feel like Rick wouldn’t team up with him if he knew they were eating Bob.

Well, assuming they follow the comic story line here, which I think they will, you never actually find out if eating tainted meat makes you die/turn faster, thanks to Rick and company intervening first.

As far as that trailer, that looks like a bunch of fancy editing, taking stuff from the Father Gabriel story arc, some of which we have seen, and laying it over the hunters story arc.

Who knows how long they will draw out the hunters story arc, but in the comics it was pretty short and the groups first direct interaction with them was also the last.

Yeah thats true, it was cool to know what was going on with Beth too though. Didn’t they already eat one of his legs though?

THEY ATE BOB??

Oh well he was an asshole.

I didn’t think he was an asshole, however when you’re a drunk and you manage to outlast two groups one has to wonder how much involvement he had in their demises. I thought he was the one feeding the walkers two seasons ago, you know going out getting drunk, talking to a walker feeding it taunting it etc.

Yeah Bob seemed to have gotten his shit together somewhat after Daryl chewed his ass on the medicine run. In fact if you look, right before he got grabbed and the group was drinking communion wine, it looked like Bob didn’t touch a drop of it.

I still don’t understand why they still walk off by themselves.

Well I thought he was walking off because he was going to kill himself. So he is getting his wish, just a slower more painful way.

Still…I don’t understand how people are still off doing there own thing. Now they’re gonna have to hunt down Carol and Daryl. And it seems they have learned nothing from what happened in Woodbury.

Wait, why does he want to kill himself…because you think he was bitten (which I thought he might have been)? He and Sasha are an item now and he’s acting happy except for that last scene.

Yes, because I think he was bitten. He wants to off himself before he changes into a walker.
