Honestly you have TWO problems in real life.

Zombies and “Bad People”

My question is for the comics does the plague die out?
Not YET. But the “BAD PEOPLE” turn out to be the real problem. The Zombies are just the trigger.
See that is what always interests me in end of the world genre, not so much the impact or immediate transition but the rest of the settling out period. The Stand is probably one of my all time favorite books that I have read about 6-8 times.
Like the start or how I envision the Matrix would be. The STAND. The evil would not be a demon but how our fear would move us. I never read the book but seen the TV version ahhahahahahaha.

We are just not ready to fight a war with a bad guy we can’t see. Hell the longest war we ever had is the war on terror a faceless bad guy around every corner. Now imagine a virus hiding in every person you meet. We would sink into that world of the stand faster than you could imagine.
I know we would that is always what interests me, there really is a very, very thin line between society and chaos.

Contagion came close as a movie can come to showing what might happen. I think the major thing they got right was the numbers of people that would actually die MILLONS not a small town. They where nice about how we would act. My loved ones are healthy I’m not sure if the guy next door is or his family. That is not a good thing. Millions would die. Thousands would be killed.

^ Have you seen that movie? That is the new one with Damon correct?

In real life, the only people who would be alive right now would be Merle, his brother, MAYBE the two cops, and the lady from The Mist who knows how to shoot a gun and shot her sister.

Everyone else wouldn’t have made it out the city.

I know it looks good for “drama”…but the truth is, in a situation like this, the ones who live are the ones who have survival skills, know how to think quickly and do not get bogged down with the emotional side until the danger is past.

It would be a world filled with Lt. Ripley’s and Rambos in Hollywood land.

Yes. It was good. But like I said they painted us in a good light. Humans I mean.

I guess it is possible that the bullet fragmented as it passed through the deer and then created five separate entrance wounds on the kid. This could explain how the vet determined there were five fragments.
Agreed BUT it clearly showed he had one entrance wound.
Yea, that’s a problem then. I could not remember if they showed that or not. Just remember the vet digging around in the one wound.

There have been a few situations in this series that have made me shake my head and say “No Way”. First one I saw was in the first episode when they laid the spike strips out for that car. Cars do not launch into the air and then barrel roll down the roadway immediately after running over spike strips. Pure Hollywood glamour for affect.

Still love the show.
Lol yea I love the show and will continue to watch it, now want to read the comics.

I try to ignore the medical mistakes for the most part, but sometimes its a big face palm.

Anybody know if they have taken the comics and basically put it in book form? I have a nook and would love to just down load it.
Could not find anything in electronic form. Amazon has some in book form though…collection of 12 or so comics per book. That is going to get pricy though in order to get through all the comics.

hahahahah, Yeah man, but even Rambo picked up straglers.

I think the best match for this scene is Spartacus and his men. Not the movies but the real guys. You and your small group have to fight your ass out of ROME to some ships that may be their to a Land that MAY except you back either way your fighting to a unkown future.

What happend to him. He had two choices break out and everyman for himself and run the chance of coming into a angry group that will overwelm the one guy Option. OR Go ahead with a group and gather more and work together to fight ahead.

He had issues had to kill some of his own people and ended up spliting into two groups because not everyone wanted to follow the same path. I really think this is what would happen.

But I’m letting it be known, IF TN had a outbreak. I’m sitting ontop of the asses posted in Zepplins threads and popping off anything that moves until my AK and AR runs out of ammo then I’m grabbing all the CoCo pics I can and my machettes and heading off to the often heard of Powerlifting section.

I actually searched with my Nook app through Barnes and Noble they actually have it. But it is around $10 a pop for the graphic novels. No worries, Christmas is coming up and I let everyone know I want gift cards for Barnes and NOble.

Yea the movie was great for me, and I have had that recommended to me before.

Any others?

Also 460 dude you have to get a kindle or Nook. I do not have to go to the bookstore, takes 2 seconds and I have the book. Plus I have an App for my laptop and my phone. It holds 15,000 books on it alone.

I’m becoming a lazy mofo as it is. The gym and the range are about my only two outlets. I find reasons for leaving my house these days. I’ve only been retired for a month (not counting the almost 5 months terminal leave). I see why guys rush back to work now.

edit: OH and the Gun shop I left that out. NOW what does that look like a big black guy who spends all day at the gym/Range/gun shop. Hell I throw in the book store to keep people from calling the FBI on me now.

True That…

I would also find a way to save this woman no matter how bad the end of days may be. She would survive as long as I do.
