Just left an Q&A with Glenn Mazzara the executive Producer and Writer for the show.

1- They talked about keeping Shane but it’s “Ricks Story” so it’s his path thru this new world they will follow.

2- Lori was projecting her Self hatred for herself onto Rick in that scene (this makes her an awful human, my words not his)

3- The Actress that plays Lori is Kinda shocked by the Universal hate for her character

4- The writers see T-Dog as smart and staying away from everyone because he can see how they treat each other ( not sure I’m buying it)

5- They have big Plans for T-Dog in season 3 ( I hope it’s in the arena)

6-They are done with team building drama for a bit season three will be like the last 3 episodes of this season.

7-These 2 seasons have only covered 4 months from the moment Rick left the hospital.
That scene with the chick and sword was lame, 460. They had better not do some stupid matrix/chop socky/ kung fu crap for this character.
It was the Jedi Hoody that did it for you huh?

Michonne is a bad ass. Her first intro is dramatic even in the book. But the writers rushed to get her image in for this season.

Michonne is not Neo. Her character is a bad ass but very human, slightly fucked up in the head. And will go thru more hell thru the series.
I didn’t like the show’s intro for her or her look. I’ll take your word for it as far as her being a good character.

No real insult intended by the retarded comment.

I can see your point about the shows intro, but if they develop her like she develops in the comic, she will be an excellent character, so fingers crossed.

“Obi Wan…somethimes I think you are trying to break my heart”…(Yoda)

As was stated earlier but “US” Comic Spoilers (Dixie, Polo, Robert A). They could F*ck her character up like Joe Jackson and his kids. I just hope they wont.

It may be that I also was expecting them to have Queen Latifah in the roll or Worse give it to some beauty queen who does not want to get dirty.

Without Spoilers Michonne at least as I seen her was A person who went thru the same stuff as this group except she had to do it alone. She has had some minimal skills and a hidden talent that to her suprise was a plus in this new world.

She is not a superhero, She is not trusting, She is not use to being a team player, she is not black Jesus.

Oh and she is dealing with her own sanity.

And with all of this to work with…they could still f*ck it up.

Who was the guy in the winnebago who got eaten trying to rescue Rick and the Kid? I fast forward through most episodes and missed him somehow. Thanks
Herschels son
Wrong … Jimmy was Beth’s boyfriend. Beth is Herschel’s daughter
Damn, not sure why I don’t remember that.
The only reason I remember that is because when Maggie started fuckin Glenn, Herschel had a talk with her and mentioned he had to keep an eye on Jimmy and Beth and didn’t want to have to do the same thing with her and Glenn…

Also when Beth wanted to die she made a mention that he had only been dating Jimmy for 3 months, it’s not like they were married

Other than that dude might as well have been just a painting in the background

Makes sense to me, realistically who would want to be around those assholes . I’m hoping that the show actually takes time to develop t-dog’s character in s3, rather than just keep him around to pad the bodycount.
If you were the only black guy with a bunch of crazy ass crackers you would not be trying to lead the pack either. He is just waiting around for some black folks to show up.

I’m going to say it before anyone else.

I was Proudest of T-Dog when he tried to escape with 2 women and a truck first chance he got. Then he didn’t let Lori just jump out and keep driving and I lost faith.

Okay I fucking laughed so hard I had my staff coming down the hall.

If he would have said North he may have had them.

hahahahaha, aaaahhhh. North to freedom with 2 white women…ahhhh man…hahahahahahahahah

Dixiefinest: Cool beans.

T-Dawg commentary: I like T-dawg and I like him for keeping his distance. Is he getting people pregnant? No, but he’s alive and not causing trouble. Is he trying to steal another person’s wife and child? No, but he’s alive and not causing trouble. Is he getting involved in drama and wasting his time arguing? No, but he’s alive and not causing trouble.

He’s quiet, keeps to himself, and is just trying to live. The only cool headed person that hung out with is dead(Dale)

I can’t wait till the next season, But… I was not impressed with the samurai sword woman. I mean wtf?

I haven’t read the comics but that just seems real silly to me, don’t get me wrong, she could be a quality character, but seeing that has changed my whole perception of the walking dead (TV series) for the worse.

PS. Lori is a Cunt.

Yes!

COMIC SPOILERS

RE: Katana wielding woman

Michone was supposed to be an avid fencer growing up and through school. The sword was taken from a neighbor’s after the walkers showed up. The truth is if you are going to find a useable carbon steel sword (as opposed to a brittle sword shaped object) in a U.S. suburb it is probably going to be in a katana/japanese pattern. Precisely because of the cliche that some of you have mentioned.

She is a fantastic character in the comics. She uses the two neutered walkers as camo so she can move among the rest. The sword doesn’t draw the same attention as gunshots do in the comic (or in certain episodes of the show).

I fear how she will be written on the show.

We’re all dreading what the writers might do to the character

I thought this was relevant to the discussion:

Cliff notes: the show sucks but we watch it because it should be good

That is basically it for me. I’ll watch next season and probably the season after that if they’re lucky enough to go that far. I’ll probably watch until they have a Fonzi zombie riding a motorcycle down the back of a brontosaurus. But I’m not going to actually like it until it STOPS FUCKING SUCKING.

Hahahahahahahah yeah I understand. But I won’t say it sucks. I enjoy it, I just know how much better it could really be.

This is how I feel. I don’t think it sucks, but it could be great. They have good material to work with.

It’s still better than 99% of the other shit on tv. If angry people on the internet don’t complain about what you are doing you are not relevant.
