Hahahahhaha I thought it was a Mossberg 8+1 but That was the best 22 min of TV I seen this season.

Old Grumpy Men and a Never Ending Shotty!!!

Also, head shots are easy in zombie movies. Even when firing from a moving car / motorcycle / pick up.

In other news: Bet they are all glad that walkie-talkie and HAM radio tech only exists as a plot device and that they spent less “if shit gets real” planning time than any schoolteacher leading a field trip.

Fucking rally points, how do they work?

To be fair, I heard many shots during those scenes and it didn’t always lead to a zombie dropping on screen but yeah, haha!

Now let’s forget this mainly shitty season and move on! All in all I really liked the season finale.

Did anyone else expect Glenn to die when comforting Maggie? It was too much of a calm scene I expected some lone walker or a bullet flying through the windshield (maybe from the group camped down the highway) or something.
Good call on demoting the bitch to the passenger seat tho. She was doing the whole “don’t bother looking at the dirt road you’re gunning down at 80mph” thingy that’s so popular…

Also, lol @ big secret.
Correct me if I’m wrong but after they put down the two guys in the bar, at the beginning of the next scene you can hear another shot and Rick saying: “You were right”. I thought that the characters had figured it out by then.

It’s because of things like this that I appreciate a series such as Breaking Bad so much more. They don’t yell out every friggin’ detail over the microphone and trust the viewer to put 1 and 1 together.

Probably the best show of the season. I liked the barn burning.

Lori NEEDS to die. Fucking bitch. Really, I’m not a stand by your man no matter what dumb shit he does type of person, but fuck her for getting all pissy at the end. LORI we know the man you love and the father of your unborn child was killed by your husband and all, but fuck, Shane (RIP) was out of control and wanted to kill Rick.

Also, keep a better eye on your kid please so everyone else doesn’t have to listen to your hysterics when you can’t find him during a zombie attack.

And how come they never miss the head shot when shooting the zombies during? I really don’t know much about shooting guns, but are they all really experts now?

Lori.

I was not crazy about Lori from the comic but even that version was not a HATED character. If this show goes ahead with more seasons beyond 3. You will see humans going Mid Evil on each other. I seen 2 characters I wanted to reach thru the book and shoot myself. None of them made me feel the way Lori does in the TV Series.

Whoever is writing her lines must have based it on someone he just HATES. I Mean HITLER STYLE OF HATE.

lol Now I just picture some writer sitting at his desk pouring whisky into his coffee and grumbling under his breath about his ex-wife and the dog she took.

Only women can take something as crazy as this and try to make it logical.

Well, what other reason is there for her getting pissed off at Rick? She wanted Shane to be the one to return.

Grumble, Grumble…beeyatch…look at her…(looking down at a pic of the actess playing lori). she looks like the kind of woman that would Fuck your best friend, Tell you to he won’t stop until he has her, then goes behind my back and Thanks him for the good lovin he gave while I was in the hospital"

Yeah I got some lines for this ho…Takes shot starts writing.

“lori listens with Her Cunt ears as Rick explains how shane tried to kill him”

Then Becomes Disgusted and push Rick away With her Evil boney cant watch my kid for 5min hands"…

Grumble Grumble shot.

Girl with the Katana looked dumb as hell. Please explain that bit of lameness.

Also, Rick has been busting his ass for this group and he just had a breakdown. No one else in that group has the skills or the balls to lead the group. There was one guy that could, but he kept trying to kill Rick. So Rick had to put him down.

Wol just stepped into it.

Apparently we were supposed to love that T-Dog is very skilled at driving around with two women in the car. And he ran over some walkers. And east. He wants to go east. I guess I love that. It’s a pretty good direction, I suppose.

In all, I’d say it was solid episode. I don’t fault Rick for his mini-breakdown. He’s done that “gun-waving while speaking enthusiastically” thing before, so I didn’t read too much into it. But his “not a democracy” line did catch me off-guard.

I was definitely expecting something to happen when Glenn and Maggie traded seats. As he’s walking around the hood of the car, I’m thinking “See ya. Okay… no.” Then it took him a second to close the driver’s door behind him, and I was like “See ya… oh, nope.”

I did half-expect Angela to climb up onto the porch roof and start plinking away at walkers after she was ditched.

I also really dug the opening scene. “Kids, this is how we build a roaming zombie mob, so don’t post online tomorrow ‘OMFG, no way that many walkers would find the farm at the same time.’”

T-dog sucks…to watch. I’m sure he will live to be 100. Even the zombies cant find him.

*** SPOILER ***

TAKE A SECOND.

Think The Gov was just the Gov. Does not mean the followers will not play a part in the scene you’re talking about. Lost 20lbs??? Could have been getting into fighting shape? I still wonder who will be fighting in the gladiator arena?
[/quote]

Excellent point. Would have been pretty hilarious if the losing 20 lbs was just getting his arms and jaw cut off (as in the actor was just toying with the audience about losing 20 lbs.). Zombie Merle rolls into Daryl’s camp being led by Michonne. Lulz

The gladiator bit would be an interesting twist. My prediction, it will either end up as Brother vs. Brother or Daryl will have to choose a camp.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

OR

Merle VS T-dog part 2. With some zombies thrown in. I would watch half a season of crap just to see that match up.

Another gem I just noticed: Seems like the writers were embarrassed by the forums and finally had the decency to include ONE black zombie in the opening scene (discounting the Michonne pets).

Well…I did love the finale, no doubt, and it did make up for most of the so-so stuff this half-season.

But…oh wow here goes…I really didn’t like how Michonne was introduced.

Oh, I know, it was really damned close to how it happened in the comics, especially the imagery, but frankly, there are things you can get away with in comics and animation that almost always seem cheesy in live action.

The appearance of the cool black girl with the mysterious looking hood, two walkers on leashes, and a katana…a katana ffs, of all the cliches…not to mention that she was in essence calmly walking along the fringes of an enormous walker herd…transforms the show from gritty plausibility into borderline super-hero fiction.

It was a jarring change in theme that amounted to comic book fan service. Comic fans got their little tingle of “oooh here she is.”

Everyone else thought, “WTF?” And not the good kind of WTF…

I was in a mixed-audience room and I could palpably feel the differences in reaction to that scene.

The season 3 premiere is going to have to work really hard to integrate the show in with the non-comic fan base that exists – the introduction of Michonne could be the scene where the whole series really takes off, or it could also, VERY easily, be the scene where this show prematurely jumped the shark.

Don’t get me wrong, I do love Michonne as a comic book hero, I’m just really not enjoying how that short intro scene played out.
