Your best bet to get better is do yourself a favour and watch a few strategies or build orders to familiarize yourself with how you would build expand and upgrade.
Then you’ll be ready to customize your own attack plans, im a zerg player myself so its more extensive than say a terran player or protoss.
This is absolutely NOT how I have fun playing a video game, haha. Right now my strategy is infantry only and sending wave after wave of them into the woodchipper. I found out that, if you build extra barrackses, you can generate them faster, and you really don’t need that many supply depos because they die so quickly.
Little strategy I picked up from the USSR.
What I really wish the game had was a pause button. I’m playing with a touch pad on a laptop. It’s a struggle.
Different personalities, I like domination and was a competitive player and highly ranked in SC2.
I personally like efficient and overall win rating, I moved to FPS games and havnt played a story mode in years.
top 100 in the world for ps4 COD:MW
top 10,000 in the world for Fortnite
Just finished off Control. I love the studio that made it, and the game looked badass, but if I knew that story was buried in there it would have been a day 1 purchase for me. I’m not sure if anyone on here is a fan of SCP’s, but it’s basically SCP The Game. Unexplainable phenomena, deep rooted government cover ups, paperwork that’s more redacted than complete, requiring you to peace together multiple strings of files to get the whole picture. Dark moody industrial vibe, almost literally dripping with atmosphere. Good side quests. Fucking amazing all around. Top game of 2019 by far, maybe of the last several years.
Also, I’m a sucker for Easter eggs and fine details, and virtually everything I read about in-game, I ended up physically seeing at some point later in the story.
(Slight side quest spoilers)
Theres this file about a fridge being the only thing left after a building collapsed. Completely untouched, including the child’s art on the side. It explains how the father always had this strange tendency of needing to constantly look at the refrigerator, but he ended up keeping it due to his late sons art on it. He finally sold it off. It doesnt mention anything after this.
So like… 8 hours of gameplay later, you walk past this holding room for “altered objects”. And theres just this guy, sitting in front of a fridge, shaking, and he start screaming at you without looking, saying his shift had ended 24 hours ago and he cant take his eyes off the fridge, you go to help him, and in the time it takes you to go though the… decontamination room I guess it is… you here this loud banging, you walk in the room with the fridge again, and the whole room is just drenched with blood.
Idk, it was silly, and super fucking intense at the same time. The whole game is like that. 10/10
Thanks for the review. I’ve been wanting to play Control since I saw the first trailer. It looked like a great mix of the paranormal shooting action from F.E.A.R. and the incredible mechanics/atmosphere of Portal.
The mechanics are a blast. They really dialed in the combat. Everything is tight and concise. Combat can be a bit unforgiving the first few encounters, but it just teaches you early to use everything at your disposal. Nothing quite like sending a full sized forklift at terminal velocity across the side of some poor dudes head.
I want to play escape from tarkov, but I think that’d probably put it on full blast and I don’t wanna do that right away so I’ll likely get the remastered halo master chief collection or COD or something to break it in a but
Played Escape from Tarkov last night. Still playing through Halo Reach too, the remastered version looks amazing, and they’re releasing all the games one by one over the next year. The multiplayer and everything is awesome.
@koestrizer couch co-op or online? PC/xbox/ps4/switch?
So the Halo Master Chief collection was rereleased - you can get all the halo games for $40 or just reach for $10, and you can do coop, multiplayer coop, fireteam (survival waves) coop, etc.
Escape from Tarkov is fuckin amazing, played it last night, super tactical, but quite frustrating, and you can play it on coop. Not exactly a ‘zone out’ game though, as all your movements have to be tactical, and one shot will kill you, haha.
GTFO is supposedly really good too. Rainbow Six Siege is a lot of fun online. Just depends what you like… I’m a big FPS person. You could play DOTA I guess, but I’m not too big into it.
I think for $40 the master chief collection can’t be beat though - Reach is already out and then you get Halo 1-4, all the missions and all the online modes for all of those games. Hundreds of hours of gameplay.
