The Truth About Weight Loss

I just wanna say that theres a lot of people on here looking to lose some wieght. So I just wanted to explian how I not only lost weight , but went beyond any of my weight loss goals. I might be a little basis but I believe road biking is the best way to burn fat.

You not only burn a crap load of calories, but you actually need to take in plenty of carbs just to function. All I know is I’ve dropped 85 pounds in less than a year. The best advice I can give, is calories in, calories out.

Also there’s nothing wrong with having a cookie, just don’t eat the whole box. Heck, I’m such a serious cyclelist now I actually have to eat as many calroies as I can lol. I actually just biked 104 miles the other day, so I’m getting really into it.

All I know is there’s no easy (safe) way for fat loss. So no pain no gain!

There’s no safe way for fat loss? Interesting advice…

I’m no serious “cyclelist”, but I disagree, and I’m not even “basis”…

He said no easy safe way. I assume that he means things like DNP being easy. Sure there are safe ways, but they take time and effort.

I have to agree, cycling is a great way to lose fat, increase cardio, increase metabolism and a great way to get in shape, especially if someone has not exercised in a while, great way to slowly get the body back into some sort of exercise routine.
I cyle every morning before work, and twice as much on my off days. It also gets me warmed up just before I hit the gym.

maybe this idea will catch on, the energy in, energy out. Not for those that “can’t gain weight”. Reverse everything he said. energy in> energy out.

Sorry, I’m not a big believer that it’s as simple as cals in vs cals out.

Say you burn 2000 cals in a day. Great, just lay in bed and consume 1800 cals of pure table sugar.

Now take that same scenario of burning 2k cals a day and mix in some resistance training and some cardio and let’s say it bumps your daily caloric burn to 2600 cals. I’d rather see someone consume 2800 cals of whole foods with protein in each meal and a good variety of veggies, etc.
Now, while that 2nd person may be at a surplus, I’d be willing to bet, their metabolism would adapt to handle the excess and eventually metabolism would be raised.

biking is a good way to lose it, i lost a lot of the 150 I lost from biking. Also the no pain no gain is so true. All these dam people who give up after a week. blah!

I agree with what you have said, but I was under the asumption that if anybody is taking their health or fitness level serious, they would already have their nutritional intake in check before starting a workout or cardio routine. If someone is laying in bed consuming 1800 cals of table suger a day, Why bother working out.
