MY FRIEND FRANNY WHO PASSED AWAY FROM HEART WORMS LAST MONTH. HE HAD THEM WHEN I FOUND HIM.

my replacement for franny. I get to meet him tonite

2 and a half years ago we rescued this cat as a kitten. We had just finished training and were getting in the car in the gym parking lot when we heard this adorable kitten meowing. After we saw that he had a limp, we couldn’t leave him there.
On December 20th, I was taking pictures of the house to send to my mom since she couldn’t be here for Christmas and I caught this picture of our cat in the window. :frowning: We haven’t seen him since.

Can’t tear my eyes away from your amazing pillowcases and imagining what the sheets must look like.

Blake, congrats on your new addition, post more pics once he’s settled in!

Christina,

That is so sad! Losing a pet is awful and I’m so sorry. This picture is eerie and very touching.

Hopefully the same material as his pants. Classy!

Here are the most recent pics of my dogs. I think I need to get them into a program.

I really wish I had a dog. I just love them. Unfortunately I am single and out of the house for at least 16 hours a day, and I know I wouldn’t be able to go that long without peeing! =O

Anyway, yesterday I was walking from my car into the grocery store, and there was this beautiful German Shepherd just wandering around the parking lot, no collar or tag. So I quickly ran in and bought some dog treats and (hoping he’d still be around) went back out to try to rescue him before he ran out into Miller Drive and got squished.

As I was running around the parking lot with the treats, people were stopping and trying to help lure him into my car. No luck. He did eat a couple treats, but seemed to lose interest after that. Note to self: Don’t buy THOSE treats. Some guy showed up with a rope and was trying to lasso the poor thing cowboy style. But we could NOT catch him. Someone else showed up and said he had seen a poster for a lost dog and this could be it. Cell phones were brandished; frantic calls were placed. Damn! Answering machine!

Anyhoo, this went on for what seemed like an hour, a bunch of people chasing this increasingly confused German Shepherd all over Publix parking lot. Finally he ran off up the sidewalk, and I pretty much gave up, although I didn’t want to.

As I was driving towards home, I saw an SUV pulled over on a side street and thought the worst (we are now about 3 blocks from the store). But…good news…the driver, a young lady, had pulled over to see if SHE could catch the dog, and there he was, sitting by her feet (she was the only one he would come to; I guess he liked women). And there was a guy there who said he knew the dog’s owner and would let the lady follow him to the owner’s house. This poor dog was so confused and scared with all these people chasing him all over hell and back, but I was so glad that someone finally caught him. Now, what to do with these dog treats?

Sorry for the long story. Carry on.

This is not my dog, but damn it’s beastly. Let’s hear it for the little guy!

This is Smack the wonder hound, me and my wife rescued him from an animal shelter, totally kickass pooch, wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world.

This is Kali with Santa this year. She tried to sit on his lap but Santa just wasn’t having it. Danes are funny like that though. They just turn around and back right up to ya and sit right on your lap.

Sabrina, I thought so to. Fortunately he came home the same evening I made that post and has been home ever since. I guess he had plans for Christmas. LOL My kids say it’s because we didn’t get him anything.

Yes, I’m resurrecting this thread. Because:

A. - This is Oreo, and he’s too freakin’ cute not to share. (He just got done watching his mama, my gal, workout in the living room).

And B. - I finally figured out how to get pictures from my digital camera up onto the web. Yay for technology.

EDIT: So much for technology. I’ll see if I can’t figure this out. Trust me, he’s worth the wait. Just adorable.

RE-EDIT: Ta-daaa…

RE-RE-EDIT: Link-shmink. I learned how to re-size. Here’s the little bugger.

my jack russell at christmas

some awesome lookin’ pets you all have…

This is the wussiest 80 lb wolf in the world, Anouk, but she’s a VERY good dog - doesnt’ bark much, sheds a ton, LOVES to play, smother with love, and wrestle with 200 lb north american apes (er, me, also pictured).

Here is my baby Fozzy.

And this is Shadow. 125 pounds of slobering joy. Little Oreo loves thwacking at his tail whenever he can. This big monster’s getting a bit of arthritis, so he’s hobbling a bit, but he’s still a big mush.
