It’s so hard to photograph black animals, but here is the dog timidly waiting for the cat to finish drinking from his bowl. Yes, the 7lb cat totally dominates the 90lb dog LOL!

Jilly, that is hilarious because that dog looks EXTREMELY wary of that cat!
I have a really hard time taking pics of both dogs, but the shih tzu is a hundred times worse, because ONE time two and a half years ago I used the flash and he didn’t like it. Now in order to get a pic of him not skulking, I have to totally surprise him, usually in the car when he is distracted, or be holding his dinner out of the shot. If he sees me with anything that looks remotely like the camera, a credit card, the remote, etc., he bolts.
This is Thunder at the tender age of 3. Sadly, he passed on July 6 of this year, but on the bright side he lived to be 14. I’ll post a couple more mature pics of him.

Yes, he did. Ironically the longer and better life they’ve lived makes it harder when they go. I had him for over half of my life. For about two months, there would be days I’d walk in the door expecting the greeting, but no Thunder.
As obvious as it sounds, it is strange to feel that some of the discomfort is blunted by the fact that the loss is not as hard to deal with than it would be if it were a human friend or family member.
I saw your pups. Looks like you’ve got thrice the fun I had.

I had to put down one of my dogs 3 years ago this month. He was only 4 and it was harder than any human death I’ve ever had to deal with.

Wrong in a huge way. It’s this kinda of irresponsible, macho nonsense that results in over a million dogs euthenized each year in North America.

Not wanting to chop the balls off of something is ‘macho non-sense’? Even though it may cause excessive animal population, I only support it if it is done very early in the pet’s life so it won’t miss them as much.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve never had to deal with putting an animal down so young. So I take it you had 4 to begin with? Or is that an old pic?
I like all the animal pics I’ve seen (except the cats, dammit they’re arrogant and they make me sneeze.) But what about some more exotic T beasts. Kenny the horse was good, for example any pet koalas or dingo’s out there? What do Australians keep as pets?
Australian’s keep dogs, cats, birds and fish. All the normal type pets.
You won’t be finding many pet dingos as they’re a wild animal and have a habit of eating things like other family members.
Koalas and Kangaroos also don’t make good pets for different reasons.
I always laugh when I hear “so you aussies like, ride kangaroos to school when you’re young”. Uhh, yeah. Sure we do.
This is my crew.
Edit- pics don’t work, they’re too big. I can’t be bothered resizing. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. A dalmatian (stupid), a boxer (total loyalty) and a jack russell (true hilarity). The cat is just a mog.
You can take it from me that they’re all great. I love these guys. I treat them better than most humans.
