I seldom comment on politics, but, some statements are just too stupid to let slide:

I’m sure this “woman” will share her experiences of getting her period, having a miscarriage, getting an abortion, having a baby, facing discrimination from men, etc.
This “woman” can talk about her struggles with gender identity and, discrimination from women. I’m sure the real women will relate to her.
I know nothing about Aussie law other than it was founded by those who broke it.
But, isn’t a private club (like an app group) allowed to discriminate? Seems kinda hilarious that a group who discriminates against men (no men allowed), is in trouble for discriminating… But not against the people they intend to discriminate against? Are you only allowed to discriminate if you clearly state who you don’t allow?
If it’s clearly OK to discriminate, why are they being sued for discrimination?
It’s a stupid fucking ruling, that’s why I put it in the stupid thread. I suppose they could have marketed it as an app for biological women (or cis woman, whatever) but the end result would’ve probably be the same, no matter what.
It’s like how some countries are now using hate speech laws to convict people who state facts based on hard data, whenever that data exposes some group in a bad light.
Anyways, I just read that Australia is going to be taking in 3.000 Gazans so I’m not so sure their government cares all that much about safe spaces for women, cis or otherwise. They’re going to need it, though.
