I have a caveat here that at the college level these theories could be taught to adults if they chose to major in history or the like.
You’re supposed to be able to think critically as an adult but I don’t think they teach that anymore unless you are in the STEM fields.

I don’t know enough about the contents of the Asian American curriculum to have an opinion, but as a Native American who felt they learned very little about Native American history in school, I can confidently say I learned even less history about Asian immigrants. Like, possibly nothing. I cannot remember ever even mentioning Asians in any American history class. So I think it’s fine to shine some light on their history.

The same hard science theories are taught can be applied to social science theories.
The thing about history is you can’t learn history without shining a light on groups of people, because people have always organized themselves into groups. Religious groups and ethnic groups are probably the most common, which is why it should not be objectionable for someone to want to study the history of a particular group of people.
Ideological groups is where things start to get a little murkier and a lot spicier. These are the waters I like to troll, waiting for the right type of lake trout to take my bait.
I’ve never met anyone from Mongolia, but learning the history of the Mongolian Empire is still one of my favorite topics to explore. There’s nothing wrong with people prioritizing the study of groups of people they find interesting.

The Japanese internment was taught in school at least for me. That isn’t a whole lot though, and it is more about how the US government was shitty than the Japanese immigrants doing something.
The problem is that it’s a waste of time that benefits no one who isn’t trying to push an agenda. Take the new Cleopatra “documentary”; it’s not based on factual evidence that has been known to historians for centuries but on a my truth “reimagining” that pushes a certain narrative. It’s also an example of cultural appropriation.

When I think of good racist jokes, I think of Eddie Murphy’s black guy voice. Not his normal voice, which was also very funny because Murphy himself was a uniquely funny motherfucker across a wide spectrum of racial stereotypes, but his racist stereotype voices across all spectrums. This kind of shit is hilarious, and enjoying a good joke rooted in truth is a healthy thing for a society to do.
