I blame the guns and the steroids.

Ban them both. There is NO reason for someone to have either Testosterone OR Guns!!!

Society needs gunless-limp-wristed weaklings only.

Then nothing bad can ever happen.

You’ve been hoodwinked if you believe that.

The problem is that a sizeable number of people have been made to believe that transitioning is a magic wand that will solve all of their personal issues, most of them not related to gender dysphoria and whatnot.

And after transitioning, most of the personal problems haven’t been magically solved by surgery and hormone therapy. And who’s to blame? Well obviously society in general that’s “phobic”

The problem is that social progress was usually tied to economic improvement. The last 20-30 years in the West saw the decoupling of economic progress (temporarily masked by a drop in consumer goods prices due to outsourcing in nineties) from social advancement.

Even more, as the economic progress sputtered and stalled, the intellectual/college class* doubled down on social progress as a way to disrupt the system and obtain personal social advancement, birthing a massive SJW industry in the process that benefits them the most.

Preach

Perception v reality but yes

This. Kids who don’t have to work need to find some other way to prove they are the betters
problem is Middle class and poor kids who can’t think (yet) are getting caught up in the kerfuffle

Agree with your stance on the whole “transitioning” thing, the word “transition” itself imho points to some sort of -from ugly caterpillar to beautiful butterfly- sort of paradisiacal outcome.

“a society which is producing too many potential elite-members”
This guy you quoted ^^ though I 100% disagree with, imho it’s the exact opposite.-we have too many pseudo institutions of “higher learning” (aka colleges) cranking out masses of entitled very, very average folk who’ve been told they are “elite”. And then you have the crazies acting out when they find out how fcuking ordinary, like most people!, they are.

Now, it’s getting even worse, because it starts with kids that no longer “lose” anymore, everybody’s a winner. I can’t wait to see what the “never lost in my life” generation has to offer
the stupidity will know no bounds.

Wasn’t there a rainbow flag and a Ukraine flag on that Tweet earlier?

Edit: Disregard. That’s another Tweet you posted.

I mean, i agree, but i don’t think this is that the author was getting at by using the term “elite”.

I took it to mean “elite income”, which i find to be a pretty interesting theory tbh. How many super rich and super powerful individuals can a society sustain? What percentage of Lords to Serfs is too many to sustain? I wouldn’t know how to answer that question, but i find it an interesting theory for sure.

Grade inflation is a part of that as in theory, most kids should get Cs. Cs are not bad, they are average, most people are average. Too many kids get grades that don’t reflect where they really are and in truth, there are no standards because everyone deserves to get As and many schools have made it virtually impossible to fail. Then these average, at best, students go to college to learn what they should have already learned in high school. Their college diploma is a glorified high school diploma.

In my opinion, most jobs that require college shouldn’t require college. High school should be enough. You can learn the specifics of the job on the job. College should be for those who not only want a career that requires advanced learning but also want to have a well rounded education. They want to be erudite. No one should ever ask a college educated person, “I thought you went to college?” Some of the dumbest and least knowledgeable people I’ve met were college grads.

Just saw a video on YouTube today where a Marine vet was in “let women rank you kind of video” where at the end they ranked his attractiveness and their score of his intelligence. This one chick who was all high and mighty about having a Ph.D was berating him for not having an education and being a grunt Didn’t rate him very highly.
At the end they all took IQ tests and of the 6 people the Marine’s IQ score was 131 (second highest). Lowest was the PhD who dismissed him as uneducated and therefore dumb at 112.

It was an interesting video illustrating what you pointed out here.

Clarification is needed here - I didn’t mean “elite” in an intellectual/accomplishment sense, but in terms of education / social strata.

The thing is, revolutions and social upheavals in general are led by counter-elites, members of the elite that are tantalizingly close to coveted status and/or power but are thwarted at the last step by some hindrance - religion/ethnicity, a glass ceiling, a class barrier, whatever.

When this occurs these counter-elite members develop a (usually delusional) belief that they have a vested interest in destroying or usurping the system and that the new one will enable them to come out on the very top.

The French Revolution started because some very wealthy (and idle) Frenchmen were resentful of the fact that they weren’t aristocrats and not on the very top of the social pyramid. Lenin and Trotsky were an impoverished noble and a privately-educated scion of a wealthy family respectively.

So if you’re an physically average journalism major from the middle class, what are your options? Your industry of choice is dying in front of your eyes due to social media and AI and an endless stream of shitty server jobs awaits you, ensuring that you’ll live much worse than your parents (people hate downward trajectories). And of course, due to average looks a wealthy spouse is not an option.

So you want to flip the system, where the reward/punishment system is completely reversed. “Journalism” means unemployment, “activism” means gainful employment. Suddenly being chubby and hooking up with a member of the same sex in college is not a disadvantage - you’re “courageous” and “on the queer spectrum”. If you add some “fluidity”, you’ve got a winner.
