If you disagree with a fairly minor disciplinary action from your child’s school, a good parent doesn’t try to put a national spotlight on their child and the actions that may or may not have warranted discipline.
Your child grows up and tries to call people by their desired pronouns but because some middle schooler changes pronounds 3x a day and your kid mistakenly says the wrong pronoun - he gets suspended for sexual harrassment. You say it was a mistake but the school doesn’t give a shit and continues discipline anyways. You reach out to all your avenues, and no one is willing to run interference for abuse of power.

I will say I got suspended and a disorderly conduct ticket for throwing my HS bully into a locker (I didn’t look like I do now) and no one gave a crap about it (it was thrown out by the judge after community service)

Fear-mongering would be something like the Satanic Ritual Abuse panic that occurred during my childhood. It was based mostly on hearsay with a few politicians and media figures who were happy to stoke the fire. No evidence of local, let alone widespread Satanic Rituals being performed on children has ever emerged.
Being concerned about encouraging children to believe they are members of the opposite sex, let alone being concerned with the downstream complications of that like we see here, is not fear-mongering. It is real and happening today all over the country. None of it is good for the kids being subjected to it.
Children are being encouraged by adults to believe that they are members of the opposite sex, given hormones to interfere with normal childhood development and then physically mutilated, all for the perverse satisfaction of the adults in their lives. These adults demand special treatment, special language codes and total deference, then use their twisted notions of compassion and tolerance as a shield to hide behind while they bully anyone who doesn’t go along with their chosen madness.
