Iāve survived the vaccineā¦
⦠So farā¦
Iām unsure of where I stand with all things regarding the 'Rona, but I always thought it was kind of hard to find the value of a human lifeā¦is an economy of an entire country/world more important than one life? Well, maybeā¦but whoās supposed to be able to make that decision?
The US is a little late to the party since you guys got delta later than other countries. Even shut downs arenāt doing much right now. Look at cases in Malaysia as an example.
Ask yourself that question. Then tell your grandmother your answer.
No one can make that decision but those involved. Granny should stay shut in and #vaxedAF if she values her life more than the economy and believes such measures will help. Everyone else should do as they wish, so long as they donāt violate the rights* of others.
*eternal life is not a right
I am pro diaper as well. Aperantly COVID spreads via farts and shit. So no more public toilets. And the fart particles will be blocked more with a diapret.
This makes no sense.
Isnāt 12 years of age a little old for diapers?
Iām sorry you feel this way.
That isnāt how I feel. Itās a statement of fact.
Iām sorry you feel this way.
I donāt agree with the anti vaxx agenda
Covid is far more lethal than influenza, but similarly to influenza the majority of deaths pertain to elderly individuals⦠Around 90% of deaths generally encompass those aged 70+
Apparently, in Australia⦠Iām a psychopath for suggesting kids shouldnāt be deprived of social interaction, peer to peer connections for years on end over this⦠Iām a psychopath for suggesting martial law, millitary deployment within cities is a tiny step too far⦠I totally lack empathy for stating it isnāt worth shutting down society for good over this.
My opinion was⦠And still is⦠When Aus reaches 50% of total population vaccinated, we open up
⦠International travel and all. Vaccine uptake will continue to rapidly increase past 50%
But no⦠Open borders for Aus wonāt happen til mid/late 2022ā¦
Sustainable restrictions, mask mandates⦠I donāt care
No more stage 4 stay at home orders, 5km radiuses and shit for 50%+ of the year
Granted this is only Aus⦠The rest of the democratic world probably wouldnāt tolerate this level of government overreach.
I suppose I have to respect your truth.
This is what happens when āmy opinionā determines law.
Isnāt all law based on opinion?
The biggest verifiable benefit of getting vaccinated is enjoyed by the vaccinated person himself. Get vaccinated and your chance of getting seriously ill or dying of COVID 19 drops by 97-99%. If you are vaccinated, COVID is literally less deadly than the flu to you. And if you are under 12, COVID is less deadly than the flu to you, even if you arenāt vaccinated.
I realize that in many countries vaccine access is limited, but in the US any adult could be vaccinated already if they want to be. And the people dying from COVID today in the US are almost all unvaccinated adults. I respect everyoneās right not to get vaccinated. But donāt expect me to wear a mask or shut down the economy to save you from a disease that you could have avoided by getting a free shot.
US should be open and mask mandates should be gone.
Why are people so anti-mask? Seems like a very simple, easy way to help mitigate the spread of the virus. Along with general good hygeine, and keeping a healthy immune system. A lot of little things add up to big things.
as said before, the more we let the virus circulate freely and infect hosts, the more successful mutations of the virus will occur. The more successful mutations, the more likely our current vaccines will be less effective. If everyone gets vaccinated, the virus will spread far slower, mutate far slower, and vaccines will be effective far longer. So yes, the biggest short term benefit of vaccination is to the vaccinated person themselves, but it will be a short term benefit if we have a large unvaccinated population in which the virus can spread and mutate unabated resulting in āsuper bugsā that beat the current vaccines.
You have said it, I have said it, so has DT79. What more than plain language can anyone use?
I donāt think so. Some law is based on rights.
