On a different note, I have noticed something of late.
A few weeks ago, 8 people were killed in an American gun rampage. Then 10, then 4, and now 3:
We are not seeing belt winning performances these days such as Nicholas Cruz, Omar Mateen and Stephen Paddock.
Is there some reason the United States media wants us to salivate over these cascading occurrences, even when they are getting not all that nationally newsworthy? I often view Usatoday. Is this possibly because Biden is new and there is the greater likelihood of gun restricting legislation coming to the US?
I myself generally support some restriction on this issue, as I posted a while back that was happening here in Canada, but wonder if I have a point about the mediasā recent treatment of new incidents.
I could have worded some of this differently, but my point is these are half not all that great on the incidence scale and it seems easy to pick up on the stories on a national headline publication.
I donāt really get this. Have we gotten to a point where we say itās not newsworthy if you havenāt killed over 8 or something?
I also donāt get the salivating point in the least bit. USA Today would have covered that North Carolina shooting 25 years ago. The internet doesnāt have much to do with it.
I dunno maybe Iām just not understanding what youāre saying.
After states suing other states because they were sad about the way they voted it sounds like being proud to stand against the will of the people is really in with the GOP.
A friend of mine arrested this guy a couple of days ago over an outstanding Interpol warrant .
After being arrested, he claimed that āas a small business owner and an avid supporter of President Trump he was facing political persecution from the Biden Administration that is set on establishing a socialist dictatorship in the US and therefore was forced to temporarily seek refuge elsewhere. Under President Trump such business transactions would have been legalā.
Read this as āA friend of mine arrested a couple of days ago over an outstanding Interpol warrant.ā hehe
According to his LinkedIn page, Cisternino bills MagnifiCo as a company that āprovides professional and personal services across a variety of industries including film, television, performing and fine arts.ā
I read this post on movie chat.org and thought it was pretty funny. I donāt really know why. Well below is an interesting story.
Met Vin Diesel at the gym! Nicest man Iāve ever met!

Wow. Where to start with this story. It has been my new years resolution to hit the gym a little more. I played ball in highschool but ever since Iāve really packed on the pounds and gotten a little chubby around the edges. I moved to Hollywood after college and being around all these drop dead gorgeous people 24/7 a flabby little grub like myself can feel pretty sensitive so I usually go to a 24hour gym around 2am on a friday. Not so many people in there around then. Maybe just a few dudes hanging around in the showers.
Anyway the other morning I was struggling on the bike machine and then a guy came up to me and said hi with a huge smile on his face. I was taken by surprise because I was so used to excercising in silence (try to stay oblivious to whats going on around me) and then my surprise grew even larger when I saw it was freaking Vin Diesel standing in front of me!!! He said he likes the privacy around this time in the morning too. He offered to help me out with my workout. I was embarrassed but he would not take no for an answer. He started adjusting my form and really pushing me! He freaking helped me show that machine who the boss was! And the boss was me! He even noticed that I was about to pull a muscle in my thigh and he picked me up off the machine and lifted me to the ground and started massaging it. Heās pretty great with his hands I never even felt any pain.
He congratulated me on my workout with a hug and asked me if I felt like going back to his for a post work out steam. Unfortunately I had something on the next day so I couldnāt do it. But I just wanted to give Vin a huge shout out and say what an awesome dude he is to help a struggling lardo out on his journey to fitness.
I am glad she was able to restrain herself or the floor would have soaked in blood.
Street fighterā Nancy Pelosi says she wouldāve fought off Capitol rioters
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrectionists would have āhad a battle on their handsā if they encountered her ā declaring she is a āstreet fighter.ā
āThatās what they were setting out to do,ā Pelosi (D-Calif.) told USA Today, acknowledging that rioters had intended to reach herself and other prominent targets, such as Vice President Mike Pence.
If they had, she continued, āWell, Iām pretty tough. Iām a street fighter. They would have had a battle on their hands.ā
Looking at her, and looking at them, I donāt think sheās wrong. I definitely see her putting up a better fight than Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer or Lindsey Graham.
