Spoken like a real American.

I’m one firearm and pick-up truck away from my green card.

The article beneath it is pretty good, too.

I was about to say fake news until I thought about the fact it happened in Florida.

This was the problem I ran into also.

I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t even think about the price tag before calling an ambulance in case of a medical emergency.

Therefore you cannot even aspire to be a true American.

Quite right, I shoot to kill.

According to a Washington Post article ambulance rides used to be free. Thank God they are run by private companies and venture capital firms so one person was charged over 3,000 dollars for a 4 mile ride.

If you don’t charge thousands of dollars for a short trip you ain’t no freedom loving American.

Can we afford to call 911?

God bless America.

As a firefighter EMT this made me laugh out loud. All of your assumptions about this are wrong, and hilariously so.

The reason they are charged over $3000 a ride is because the majority of their patients/customers don’t pay their bills. So the $3000 is to cover 4 or 5 rides.

But that same majority REALLLLLLY needs an ambulance, right?

I think you missed his point.

We could empower the govt to decide when we need an ambulance. Individuals shouldn’t make those decisions.

What kinda idiot wouldn’t think about the cost of an ambulance before calling one?

There’s a really good chance if I ever take an ambulance ride, I won’t have been awake to call them.

The weird thing is people tend to panic when they think they may be dying. I don’t imagine tonight at the dinner table if someone thinks they are having a heart attack the family’s first thought will be do we really need an ambulance and can we afford it?

Lots of idiots. The same idiots who call at 2 o’clock in the morning because their knee has been hurting for four days. Or was diagnosed with the flu at the ER less than 24 hours ago, but want to go back because they still don’t feel good. Or suffer from COPD, Emphysema, and a host of other respiratory ailments, and can’t breath because they were smoking crack. They don’t care about the cost because they aren’t going to pay for anything anyway.

At least they’re earning the title I guess.

What do you think the ā€˜fix’ to emergency response costs are? My best friend is an EMT/firefighter in the metro we live in. I tend to lean towards ā€œjust take narcan out of the stockā€ but he’s pretty convinced the issues are a lot deeper.

Are they the real idiots?
