Vic is gonna kill Shane now. Fucking intense. Holy shit.
I knew Shane was going to do something fucking stupid like that. I had liked him previously, but there are no excuses now.

Me too. I was praying that it wouldn’t happen.
I have never been so enraged at a TV character, as when Kavanaugh yelled “are you happy now?!” to Vic.
I wanted to jump through the screen and kill him with my bare hands.
no doubt, that was the most intense episode i’ve ever seen, and i’ve been following the show from day one. i cannot believe lem is gone forever. so sad, but we’ll see where the writers take us. So far, they’ve been on the money and successful in keeping me glued to the show.

I feel sick. I don’t think a tv show or movie has ever made me feel ill before (other than as a kid). I knew shane was gonna kill him when they got under that bridge and I was just hoping that he wouldn’t. Man, I don’t know if I can watch it anymore. I want to see Tina naked though…

Maybe next season will end with a grenade in his big fucking mouth.
The finale was fucking brilliant !!
cannot wait for Season 6… it sure beats the symbolism bullshit we had to sit through in this week’s “Sopranos”
Anyway, here my thoughts:
Shane is a dead man, for sure. Awesome twist. If you think about it, this makes it EVEN WORSE for the Strike Team - not only is Kavanaugh on their ass but now you have Dutch and Claudette officially on the take. I, for one, can’t wait to see how Vic gets out of this one. Talk about irony, when you think about why Shane killed Lem (thinking killing him would end it all -how he was paranoid Lem was going to blab and what with the whole discussion about Shane’s second kid on the way and all…)
The whole “pimpology” angle was also fucking brilliant. It was merely a prop to give Dutch the “green light” to mindfuck his way into Tina’s pants next season. The whole “ghetto pimp” turns out upper middle class respectable white woman was brilliant - and his cold ass explanation was money. Dutch acted all shocked but you can see judging by what he told Tina in the next scene that something snapped. We’ll see if the pimp’s “hole in the heart” theory and “any woman can be turned out if your game is tight enough” is true.
Thank God they found a way to keep Kavanaugh around for another season. Give Forrest Whitaker the Emmy!! What an awesome character. I personally thought Mackey was going to whack him. Remember at the beginning of the episode when he told Corinne “would you be able to live without him?” I thought he was going to go after him.
Lem is an idiot. You’d think a cop with that much street savvy would know that he would have to snitch on his team. That whole rationale didn’t connect with me - it just seemed all to convenient to give Shane a motivation to kill him and set up the events for Season 6.
I want to see how they develop this Claudette angle, and if Dutch is actually going to follow through with the transfer request. (At this point, don’t think so… given his new relationship with Tina). Also I wonder how Dutch is going to blackmail his new partner into doing shit with the vending machine info… hmmm…
hopefully you guys pick this up and we can really break this down…
peace
Well gents, I really hate to sound like a pussy, but dammit, Lem was my favorite by a long shot. I almost wish I’d never started watching the show in the first place. My girl was sitting there crying and I kept having to remind her that it is all fake as if she were a kid. Then I had to remind myself that. jeez, this sucks. And oh yeah, Vic is literally going to kill Shane. That’s a given.
Mike
worst thing I’ve ever seen in a fictional TV series or movie…I couldn’t watch the rest of the episode after Shane sat there watching Lem die…fucking brutal, I don’t even know if I’ll want to watch next season after that one.
I knew Lem was a goner as soon as Shane asked him to follow him to a different meet locale. I kept saying “Don’t do it, don’t do it,” but he still fucking did it. What a cocksucker. I don’t think Vic will kill Shane though (he might not even find out). They’ve been together a long time.
That’s not how I wanted the season to end, but it definitely sets up next season to be a good one.

Kavanaugh is going to end up eating a bullet from Vic Mackie’s gun. Is he happy now? Does he LOOK happy?!
He didn’t have to snitch on his team. He was going to give them more info on himself and take a longer sentence. The story about him talking came directly from Kavanaugh and Aceveda.
In the words of the great Billy Joel, “Only the good die young!”
R.I.P. Lem.
What’s even more fucked up is that the Strike team didn’t know Lem was gonna take the fall for the Money Train! I was really hoping that Lem would have AT LEAST told Shane that, and I thought he was going to get it out after the grenade went off, cause I could see him trying to say something. That scene was brutal if you’ve been following the show from the beginning. Shane might as well have taken a bullet, cause he’s dead. Next season will end with HIM getting killed or him killing himself.
I doubt Dutch is going anywhere next season, that last scene with him and Tina left the door wide open for him. Plus, he’s too important of a character to leave over some jackass detective. Perhaps he’ll blackmail his partner into transferring? I hope so, that guy’s a putz.
As for Claudette being the new Captain, I wasn’t crazy about it the first time she got the job, but I’ve changed my tune since then. I’ve grown to like her no bullshit attitude, especially after she told the chief’s right hand man to basically kiss her ass. She’s one tough bitch, in other words.
Eventually Vick is gonna go down, there’s only so much shit he can get into before it catches up to him. But that won’t happen until the series ends, cause without Vick there is no show. Now, another long waiting period before the next season starts … ugh!
i taped the show last night, and going to watch it later today. there are only
6-7 episodes left and more than likely
the series will end and either vic
will die or end in prison.

No one was gonna buy him taking the money train down all by himself. It was a stupid thing to offer up. Surely he could have come up with something else.
All that said. He was my favorite of the Strike Team.
I feel some “earth scorching” coming on for next season…
Season 6.
1.Vick tears up the street looking for the killer.
2.Shane shoots himself or Vick does it and makes it look like Shane did it.
3.Antwan tells either Vick or Cavenaugh about the prison hit ordered by Aceveda.
4.The cocksucking photo turns up.
5.We see Tina’s bare ass as she gets plowed by Dutch boy and the Lawyers tits.
6.Vick and Aceveda finally team up and get rid of Cavenaugh one way or another.
7.Vick transfers, retires, goes to prison, gets killed or gets a new team.
O/T: Did anybody else see Michael Chiklis in the Seinfeld reruns on TBS last night? He definitely made a smart move going with the shaved head. He also looks weird when he’s not being a hardass.

I don’t think you got what I was saying.
Of course it’s stupid, but what you’re not seeing is that it was put in there as a plot device to get Dutch thinking about how to get into Tina’s pants. Part of the running theme with Dutch has been his utter lack of game and his incompetence with women - part of the reason why he hates Vic so much.
What I thought was brilliant is that Dutch is embracing “the dark side” in order to get into Tina’s pants. He’s realizing being the “nice guy” was getting nowhere sexually. However, the irony of course is that he is now going to the other ludicrous extreme. Give the writers credit - if that’s where I think they’re going with this plotline - it’s pretty dark.
Vic is the classic Alpha Male, Dutch is your typical beta male. The whole point of that plot device was to show Dutch how manipulation can get you very far with vulnerable women. Find the vulnerability, play it up and exploit for you gain. Remember, he started with the whole “I want to work with you for your brains not your body” and “make it worth my while” b.s. Dutch has isolated her vulnerability, it’s set up for Season 6 where presumably he goes in for the kill.
Lem was dreaming if he thought they were going to believe he did all himself - they would have eventually broken him down. My point was that a cop with Lem’s savvy should have known this - I figure most cops in his situation would have bolted to Mexico. It all seemed a bit too contrived in order to set up some crazy drama for Season 6.
I thought that season 5 was great. Season 4 started great and then was anticlimatic. Season 3 sucked and seasons 1 and 2 were some of the best that television has ever had.
I like Season 5 as it did not have some campy ending where everything goes back to normal. Karma caught up with the Strike team and horrible decisions were made. The season finale was incredible and I was in awe as I watched it. How often does that happen watching TV? barely ever.
That said, 24 is the best show on TV right now and blows The Shield out of the water.

C’mon man, last season he basically tried to undermine vic. remember when lem tried to get rid of all the moneytrain moolah? and shane wanted to fucking kill him for it? I guess he got his wish.
I had a bad feeling when cavanah and his cronie followed vic and ronnie, I could just feel shane about to do something fucking stupid.
Add to this on top of me having a kicking fever for the last day and a half, it’s all I could think about last night while trying to sleep. FUCK
I hope Vic finally takes care of Shane, that goddamn D-bag.
